quality dinner spot - Edit
The food here was great. While it does cost more, you’re definitely getting what you pay for. If you’re looking for a nicer/“fancier” dinner spot, I would definitely recommend this place.
Read more-artichoke spinach dip: very good as a lighter appetizer, although it is only served with regular corn chips (no pita) and is a bit on the smaller side. it’s a nice size for two people, but anything larger than that would not give you too much. the dip itself was very thick and tasty.
-pesto pasta: so so good. the portion size was large and the garlic bread that came with was very yummy. the pesto itself is on the lemony side, so just make sure you’re ok with that.
-“chicken” parm: also very very good, and a large portion size. the red sauce was incredible, nice and light yet still flavorful. i also liked how there were some veggies in the dish. the seitan chicken was decent, but it initially reminded me of vegan calamari.
Pros: quality food, large portion sizes for the pasta, friendly staff
Cons: appetizers seem kind of small, drinks were also a bit expensive for their size

Good vegan spot - Edit
Good variety of dishes but menu does not change frequently. Somewhat pricey for the portions. Also do not get the iced coffee (it is hot coffee with ice)

Very nice restaurant with friendly service. Lots of parking. This was a road trip stop for me.

Absolutely delicious vegan brunch. The pancakes were amazing, the chicken and waffles to die for and loved the tofu benny.

Lives up to the expectations - Edit
Had high expectations about it being the best vegan restaurant in ATL. They knocked it out of the park with the quesadilla. Simple ingredients, but so delicious and light. Their guac and salsa were very rich in taste and I had to ask them some chips to finish both. The Gyro Wrap was good I felt, but not as good as the quesadilla. The fries that came with it were on point. Had the Chocolate All the way through pastry for dessert and it was beautiful. The staff brought a whole tray with all the pastries available when asked for dessert menu, which was pretty cool.

First restaurant in ATL, did not disappoint! - Edit
Had a long wait for a table on a Friday night, but the food was excellent. I had the crispy wontons (amazing), chickn Parm (very good), and peanut butter chocolate mousse cake (excellent). My husband had the dumplings and shrimp tacos which I thought were so-so but he loved #Veganuary

Such good brunch - Edit
Oh my gosh!! Amazing brunch food. Was a little sad we only got two spring rolls for $8 but everything was so delicious. Chicken and waffles was the perfect amount, and the chicken biscuit was more than enough food! I’ll enjoy the leftovers for breakfast tomorrow!

Great variety - Edit
An ATL institution that has been around for over 25 years! Wanted to try the whole menu, but I will be back on my future visits to ATL! I got the avocado roll (crispy) which had a homemade salsa that was fresh and delicious. I also got the Buffalo lollipops (the homemade bleu cheese dressing is outstanding) and a half size of the Caesar salad. Everything was excellent and fresh! Great service. We were there for lunch and it was busy!

Good Good Food! (AND I miss the Sandy Springs location...) - Edit
Good, good food. I do very much miss the Sandy Springs location - that was even better than this Buckhead location. (About halfway b/t Buckhead and Downtown.) That now-closed [thanks to Covid - argh] location also had more vegan, gluten-free options as well. I've been hoping that some of the favorites from that location would be offered here. To date, that hasn't happened just yet. (Folks, if you read these, please DO bring some of those yummy meals back!)

Simply the best! - Edit
I have patronized both, now one (sad face) location for most of my time in Atlanta (circa 1996 to present). The food is constantly and consistently amazing. 100% vegan, but take any of your friends, whatever their food preferences are, and they will be pleasantly surprised. Family-owned and operated, the Suns put their heart and soul into the restaurant, and it shows.

It was ok - Edit
Everyone kept talking about how great this place is so I had to try it. The food I had was either hit or miss. Once you know what’s good, you’d probably enjoy it here. I had the spinach dip, which was really good- the chips that come with it weren’t tho. The brussel sprouts were amazing - crunchy, seasoned well and sweet. The buffalo chicken lollipops were horrible; I didn’t like the consistency at all but the blue cheese was amazing. The pesto pasta was great! It was flavorful and a large portion. The shrimp tacos weren’t that good to me. They weren’t seasoned well and the sauces were sweet and spicy, but not balanced. I took the sesame soy chicken home and it was so so. The seasoning was blah, but the vegetables were tasty. The chocolate mousse was ok, but the cake portion was dry. Overall, it’s really 3 1/2 stars to me because of what I got for the price.

The spot - Edit
Seeing as this is the quintessential place to get vegan food in Atlanta I was a little disappointed by the meals I’ve had there that have been really just OK. I will still read it high because there aren’t really a ton of other vegan restaurants in Atlanta and I’m just grateful they exist.

Cafe Sunflower - Edit
The food is ok. Unfortunately the best thing that was on the menu is no longer there so they may change the menu out seasonally. The burger was pretty good, the Carrot cake is amazing! Had a few other items that were ok. Would like more variety on what's available. Also they charge more for the same items depending on what time of day you order. So if you want to save a few bucks get there before they switch to the "dinner menu". I would give it 3.5 stars. #Veganuary

Amazing all plant based food. Sunflower is 6/5 - Edit
My wife and I really enjoyed as we have for the past 5 years. It’s one of our community’s only plant-based staples in our community, and they do it well. My wife had the nourishing bowl and I had the sesame chicken. The sesame chicken is definitely my favorite. Love this place and want to continue to support Sunflower Cafe especially during the challenges of covid. Amazing experience as always!!
