Nice Café but uses HONEY - Edit
We had the amazake shake, muffins and the amazake sandwiches. Everything tasted good, but unfortunately the amazake sandwiches (甘酒あんバターサンド) were sweetened with honey (although labelled as vegan) - which we only realised when reading the ingredient list.

Tasty treats - Edit
I stopped by here on January 18th, 2024. I had the smoothie with beetroot, berries and amakaze. I watched it being made and a good portion of it was left in the blender. As a result, what I ended up with only filled up half of the cup I was given. Although it was delicious, it was such a small serving for 850 yen.
Read moreI also had a sweet bun filled with Yuzu and sweet cream. Delicious except that the sponge cake was a little dry. Expensive at 500 yen.
Pros: Nice friendly atmosphere and staff, Tasty treats
Cons: Small servings, Expensive for what you get

Great home made amazake - Edit
Everything in this cafe, from drinks to sweets, has amazake in it! Home made amazake is delicious and the sweets are tasty. It’s pretty small, so there aren’t many seats.

nice desserts in a clean shop - Edit
I bought some granola and a chocolate framboise muffin to take home, and had an amazake parfait and iced amazake oatmilk latte in-store.
Read moreMy favorite thing was the muffin. It was really light and the chocolate and raspberry were delicious. I would definitely get muffins from there again.
The parfait was good too and I would get it during warm weather again!

Vegan soft serve - Edit
Not the typical soft serve- I think it was made with rice wine? But it was very tasty. The worker was very friendly as well. The only bad thing was that right next door was a very neglected looking dog. He kept whining and you could see him hip bones. He was locked up in a little alley way. So that took away from the experience.

So good on a hot day - Edit
Cafe Stand Blossom is right on the main road from Hase station to the Giant Buddha. It was airconditioned and we enjoyed some yummy vegan soft serve which was a saviour after the sweltering heat outside! I was sad the parfait was sold out, I wish I had the opportunity to go back and try it! The staff were lovely. Recommended!

Tasty but pricy - Edit
We ordered the banana bread, a carrot/mango smoothie, and an oat milk latte. All were very good, but it cost us about 2400 yen. The smoothie was good, but it tasted more like carrot than mango which I wasn’t expecting. I still liked it though. My partner really liked the latte.

Pricey but good - Edit
We tried two kinda of muffin, chocolate and matcha. Pricey at 550 yen each, but very filling and tasty, if a little dry. Staff were very nice.

So nice to see more vegan places around Kamakura - Edit
Edit: went back again a few times since the opening and feel like they have improved the recipes! The muffins have become richer and jam packed with fillings! Really delicious!
Read moreReally beautiful shop with plenty of vegan options. I got a chocolate and cashew muffin and the Sakura muffin. Both were delicious, and the Sakura muffin had an anko filling in the middle! The perfect definition of “yasashii aji” (gentle flavor). If I were to be a little critical, I would say that it may be nicer if the muffins were a little richer / had deeper flavor or more textured fillings? As they are, I feel like they would pair perfectly with some jam or peanut butter spread on them to sweeten them up just very slightly. All in all, I would definitely go back here and am looking forward to seeing other seasonal desserts!

Tasty - Edit
I loved the ice cream and soft serve. It’s not super sweet though so don’t go expecting your typical soft serve. Lightly sweet and soft rice flavor.

So worth a stop - Edit
This place was delicious, well located (right on the Main Street between big Buddha and the tram station) with very sweet staff. Some English spoken, and everything was vegan. Ice cream and custard sandwich were perfect.

Delicious Japanese vegan sweets! 🍡🍵 - Edit
I got a matcha Amazake cream anmitsu dessert. Not too sweet. I liked that it comes in a reusable jar. I also got an Amazake Chocolate to go, which came in an eco friendly paper cup. I also got a matcha muffin (which was one per customer bc they just opened) but I haven’t tried it yet. Would love to see some Sakura flavoured things! 😍🌸

Vegan Cafe@Kamakura - Edit
I definitely want to come again when I come to Kamakura. There are many healthy menus, mainly sweet sake and fermented foods, but I was surprised that the taste was quite delicious. There are staff who know a lot about vegans, so you can rest assured.
