Waiting...waiting...waiting...

My non veg friends did some research and took me out while I was visiting them in Bristol. We arrived at 12.15, ordered coffee and looked at the menu. Nowhere did it make it clear that lunch was not served until 1 as we were told when we tried to order. As we had already settled 2 toddlers we chose to wait with coffee rather than move them and settle them somewhere else. After ordering we still had to wait a further 35 minutes for our food to arrive.
The food itself was good but not worth the wait.
The staff never checked back to see if we were okay.

Not a bad word to say!

I love this place! It has so much variety, all the food I've tried there has been delicious (and I've eaten a lot of food there) and the staff are all really friendly and helpful!

Fresh homemade food that’s different everyday

This place has a welcoming, community feel to it and offers fresh food made everyday, so the choices are always different. They have colourful flavoursome salads and the best homemade cakes! I had a chai spiced cake that was the fluffiest, best vegan cake I’ve every had. What’s also great is that the staff rotate between the roles in the cafe and support many local vendors to source their ingredients.
The cafe does fill up quickly though at lunch time and as you can’t book a table, it’s important to get there early.

Pros: 100% vegan, Fresh, homemade food supporting local trades

Loved it

A very eco friendly place, with beautiful food- especially the burgers (which are homemade), the staff are always really lovely. There’s also options of desert which are equally are beautiful (recommend blueberry ice cream). The atmosphere is also nice, would recommend.

Pros: All vegan , Homemade , Eco friendly

Relaxing and Yummy

Vegan child and I loved our BLT and seitan burger. Probably could not have everyday, but certainly nice for comfort food. Service was quite slow, but in return you get carefully made lunches.

Great experience

A restaurant that obviously cares about animals, the planet and people. We had some good breakfast and coffees there. The fact that they are a non-profit, trying to service the community, was the cherry on top.

Not bad, but needs to improve

The place was dirty, but the atmosphere was nice. The waiters were very nice but the cashier was a bit rude. The place is fully vegan and covered with LGTBQ supporting phrases. The food was great although not very cheap. The toilet was not great, something to improve a lot. Some tables are not very comfortable and all of them were quite dirty. We had to ask several times to clean them and they did it poorly. Higiene lacks a bit in this place. Some of the cutlery was really dirty, specially spoons. The location is horrible if you want to stay in the city center, too much in the north and public transport is not great here.

Pros: All vegan, Flavour of satay burger, Atmosphere

Cons: Dirty, Bad located, Expensive

Very good!

It's now completely vegan too. I've only tried the burgers and chips which are great! Very good value too. My only problem is the use of a microwave to make burgers and soy is used in the mayo.

Pros: Value, Flavour, Options

Cons: Microwave used, Soya and gluten used heavily

Awesome non profit project with artistic activities and workshops organised in the basement.
Besides, the burger was EXCELLENT, one of the best I've had.

Nice little place

Stopped here for tea and cake and it was really nice! Didn’t try any of the food on the menu but it looked pretty good. Extremely busy however with quite limited seating 💚

Meh..

I really was so excited to go here after hearing amazing reviews. When I finally got around to visiting, I wasn’t overly impressed... I had the seitan burger - I think this was a special at the time. It wasn’t great tasting, nor presented and over priced. The seating inside was really limited and just uncomfortable.😒I won’t be visiting again.

Pros: Vegan options!

Cons: Over priced. Bad Atmosphere., Food isn’t great tasting. , Limited seating, placed closely together.

Really nice vegan burger

Went for the peanut sauce burger and it was lovely but thought the atmosphere of the place was a bit cold. It felt like a fast food café more than a relaxing dinner.
They seem to have a lot of events going on in their basement!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Fully cow milk-free

Cons: Cold atmosphere

cosy and comfort

the first cafe that charges for dairy!! it's really giving people a chance to try the *free* dairy-free options they offer. i got beans on toast for breakfast and it's just amazingly good comfort on a rainy morning in bristol. the chill vibe and servers are an icing on the cake. they do vegan pastries too for the old school comfort. sometimes, they do hold events/classes in their basement.

Really want to love it

I love the idea of this place, the food rocks and the staff are friendly! However, I have been here 3 times and every time it has just been dirty... the toilet, the tables, the water glasses and on the last occasion there were flies everywhere. Unfortunately, I won’t be going back.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Nice vibe , Great burger

Cons: Dirty

Very popular cafe and social space

Cafe which is always busy, serves great cooked breakfasts as well as burgers, chips, BLT, salads and always has cakes on the counter. A reliable option! They also have a space downstairs which is used for meetings, yoga, bands etc

The best bean burger I’ve ever had!

Cafe kino is a vibrant and buzzing little cafe, open for breakfast lunch and dinner serving entirely vegan food. The choice was incredible and I had the limo burger with coleslaw and curly fries, which was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had as a vegan! Would highly recommend the food and drink, as well as the events they put on weekly in the basement.
