I came here for the vegan cake and a needed break from all the running around and many many people of Nishiki Market. And must say the atmosphere and the food/drink really helped me recharge! Would definitely recommend!

If you order the pasta of the day you can choose between 3 kinds of pasta and 5 kinds of bread that go with it.

They make the food freshly so it takes some time.
The veggies are very fresh and crunchy, the pasta are perfectly cooked and the sauce is very rich and fruity.
The price of 1300¥ for pasta, salad and a small bread is really cheap chonsidering the quality you get and compared to other vegan restaurants in Kyoto.
The restaurant has an relaxed atmosphere, the staff is very friendly and they have an sufficiently big menu without being too overwhelming.
The desserts and drinks sounded really good aswell.

Walk up and down Fushimi Inari and reward yourself with a vegan hot choccie (served winter only) at Cafe Gallery San. Pairing it with a carrot cake and ice cream will rot your teeth with sweetness but restore your faith in humanity. You earnt it with all those stairs! #Veganuary

This was such a cute place. The food was excellent. Their avocado toast alone could keep me coming back (it's not "just" avocado on toast, but avocado on toasted sourdough with a delicious aioli base and topped with red onions 😍). The ginger tea with oat milk is another favorite of mine. And the owners are really sweet.

This cafe was my go to lunch spot during my stay in Kyoto, as it was close to my school, the staff was really nice and the food was delicious. My absolute favourite was the Avo sandwich, but the cold pasta with pesto was also amazing and a perfect choice for the hot japanese summer.

Staff understand English, everything on menu is Vegan. Ordered a ham and vegetable sandwich, it supeisngly came with a salad. The salad tasted garden fresh, a refreshing salad. Salas has beet, onion, arugula, spouts, onion, carrots, red cabbage. Dressing was a olive oil and light Italian spice. Sandwich has Vegan ham, cucumber, romaine lettace.

Amazing! The aesthetic of the restaurant alone is one thing, but the food was incredible as well. Highly recommend the avocado open sandwich. The food was filling, each dish unique and high quality. We left feeling full but not heavy or oily which is incredible.
