Interesting vegan options

This cute place (1920’s themed) is tucked away in the heart of the old Garment District. It is mostly meat-centered; however, like many Asian restaurants there are many vegan options on the menu.

The cucumbers were not as tasty as others I have had (I added soy sauce) but the other dishes were quite good and, for me anyway, unusual. The oyster mushroom and spinach dish was particularly tasty. Also, the bamboo shoots where a revelation compared to the usual canned stuff.

Definitely worth a try.

Pros: Interesting/unusual vegan options, Cute interior, Good service

You won’t go hungry!

Nice food. The portions are enormous, you’ll only be able to eat one dish. So if you’re solo choose one and if you’re more, choose one each or share!
Good service, busy atmosphere on a Friday night.
Had the pa po tofu which was ok - a lot of silken tofu and the sauce was nice. Surprisingly the cabbage was really good.

Pros: The cabbage dish , Good atmosphere

Cons: Large portions so if you like variety it limits

Our favorite "vegan" restaurant

They had a Michelin star before the pandemic, and the food is still just as good. The Szechuan cabbage is to die for. #Veganuary
