Wonderful service, great food

My partner and I came to Rome for our honeymoon and, being very allergic to milk, I had a list of vegan places recommended through Reddit - Buddy bring a top one.

It did not disappoint! It was a quick walk from where we were staying, so as soon as we landed we went here - that pizza is incredible. So fluffy and crispy, and their cheese is soooo good. Also really nice coffee, and all very reasonably priced. The absolute cherry were the lovely servers who recognised us every day and were so welcoming and warm from the get go.

Highly recommend for a go to vegan/milk allergy friendly place

Wow!

This is one of the best vegan restaurants I've tried in my life. The atmosphere, the service and most of all the quality of the food, it's unbelievable! The pasta alla carbonara is something to die for, as well as the olive ascolane, all these traditional dishes are veganised here with seemingly no effort, truly an achievement. The tiramisu is good, but maybe there are even better cakes and desserts.

So many options

What I moved the most about this place is the large varieties of options suitable for all times: breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and after dinner. Some items were really good, some were not bad. It was particularly nice as a breakfast option since we booked our hotel right next to it. The staff are super friendly, which made the experience even better. They also offer yummy alcoholic drinks

Best vegan breakfast in Rome

The food was absolutely delicious. Try the vegan tuna sandwich and the hazelnut cream pancakes. They are both out of this world.

DELICOUS

This was our first choice when we landed in Roma and we weren’t disappointed. We got the carbonara and the shittake Bianca pizza which were both unreal. Like 10/10 good. We also had an espresso and iced coffee. So so so yum. Would definitely recommend.

Great vegan options.

I visited Buddy Veggy Restaurant Cafe twice during my time in Rome.

The first time, I tried the tiramisu and the chocolate cheesecake. The tiramisu was okay, not bad, but not very special either. The cheesecake, on the other hand, was really delicious!

On our second visit, three of us shared a fried appetizer platter, porcini mushroom pasta, and a pizza. I didn’t enjoy the fried platter, it was too greasy and left an unpleasant taste. The pizza was just average, but the pasta was excellent.

They have outdoor seating, and the staff were very kind and helpful. Like many vegan restaurants in Rome, I found the prices a bit high, but overall it’s a nice place with some great options.

Amazing vegan breakfast

Lovely place with friendly staff and a great menu. I had the vegan breakfast which consists of toast, tofu scramble, baked beans, bacon, cream cheese, avocado, salad and an orange juice. It was delicious! Definitely recommend!

Very good!

I had the carbonara and the bruschetta with tofu for 22 euros total, it was sooo good! It's very close to Piazza Navona and literally across the street from the Basilica di Sant'Andrea della Valle. 100% recommend!

Best Pasta I've ever had!

We have come here twice in 2 days for amazing pasta, burgers and desserts. Large menu with lots to choose from. Very friendly staff and great atmosphere. Highly recommend!

A vegan oasis

Outstanding food including Italian and Roman classics. A cool, relaxing and friendly atmosphere made this my oasis while visiting the heart of the sometimes chaotic and crowded historic and touristic city. The cacio I pepe is highly recommended!

Everything you could get in an Italian restaurant is on there, but vegan!

Vegan paradise!

A lot of tasty options with nice atmosphere in the center of Rome. The prices are also okay, considering the food and location. Very much recommended - specially the brunch aptions :)

Couldn’t get enough of this wonderful venue

The Buddy Veggy was a wonderful bonus to our stay in Rome. We went most every day to try different things on their menu which is full of variety. The staff and venue are amazing and we can’t thank them enough for making our visit as great as it was. 💚 xx

Great food, and great prices

Good but room for improvement

The appeal that this restaurant has is that it delivers in my area. All is very run of the mill. Nothing is homemade it appears . I usually order the tofu scramble and the vegan carbonara which are good. But I keep it as a fast food not very healthy option when I don’t feel like cooking. The packaging is a lesson in unsustainability, everything is wrapped in tons of plastic wrap.

One of my favourite in rome

This place has so many dishes to choose from and everything is really good. You can have pasta or pizza or burgers or just some salads. I really like their soups and their truffles pizza and pasta. I also enjoy the tofu bread and my favourite dessert is the fragola with panna
