Go to Origano Campo de' Fiori across the road. Staff here aren't friendly, food isn't anything special and is expensive.
Read moreUpdate: Visited a second time as with someone who wanted to try it. Service even worse, 20 minutes to get order taken and then 40 minutes for food to arrive. Pasta sauce slimy rather than creamy - was really quite off putting. I definitely don't recommend it and have no idea why reviews are so good.

We had the carbonara and truffle spaghetti both of which were really delicious. Don't be fooled by the images on the reviews, the portions are a great size and you won't be hungry after! We also had blue berry cheesecake and the chocolate pizza, but we ate it before we took a photo 😆

My favourite vegan place in Rome - Edit
I've only between to a few vegan restaurants in Rome but this one won my heart. The tastiest food, friendliest staff and just great space as well. The truffle spaghetti was a dreammmm and the lasagna didn't fall short either. Would go again in a heartbeat

Read morePasta and cacio e Pepe. Went with non vegans and they loved it too. The four cheese pizza was great as well, I took it home and had it for lunch the next day. Highly recommend. Definitely got rid of my fomo of watching my friends have carbonara

Wonderful vegan place in Rome - Edit
We made reservations, but probably didn’t need to. We sat outdoors and were very happy with the food and the service. We also bought a bag of their chocolate almond cookies to go, which fueled us on the rest of our trip.

We had a walk in here at about 8pm on a Thursday, seated quickly. The pinsa was great, the lasagna amazing and the carbonara just ok. The staff and atmosphere were nice. Overall a great bit not amazing dinner.

Had big expectations for the food here having read previous reviews. The staff was very friendly. Menus were only available using QR-codes on our smartphones, which I felt hard to navigate and would have preferred ordinary menus.

The pasta carbonara was mostly sauce, which to me mostly tasted of bland vegan cheese, overcooked pasta and dry bits of substitute bacon. Frankly one of the worst dishes I've had in a restaurant, which is surprising as previous reviewers also ordered the carbonara and loved it. The Buddy salad dish was also very bland tasting, felt mostly like grains and salad mixed together without much sauce or spices.
Not sure what happened here, maybe the chef had a day off? Wanted to give one star but feels a bit weird, given that previous reviewers had such a great experience. Maybe it was just us?

So happy I discovered this place on my second day in Rome. Amazing food, nice location about 5 minute walk from Piazza Navona, great ambient and friendly staff. Had spaghetti carbonara the first night and lasagna the second time I visited, both were delicious. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating.

A bit disappointed by all the rave - Edit
We visited Buddy twice, since its the restaurant closest to where we’re staying in Rome, and we were s bit disappointed. The brunch is almost exclusively processed or frozen and reheated food with some vegetables. The tofu scrambled was a bit plain, not seasoned enough. Other day we’ve had the pinsa (kind of pizza) and it was very oily and the cheese was the typical coconut oil cheese that jist isn’t that tasty. The dessert served with brunch was just reheated frozen cake. There are better options (especially for pizza)in Rome, although they might nit be fully vegan, which we prefer.

Delicious vegan food in Rome - Edit
My boyfriend and I ate here twice while visiting Rome. Everything is 100% vegan and there are many dishes to choose from. We had the lasagna, Truffle pasta, bacon and egg pasta and a mushroom pinsa. All delicious.

I had the pancakes with fruit & my girlfriend had the aubergine parmesan, both were great. We went back on another day & tried the pizza, also good. They play good music too, heard The Blue Nile, Bowie & The Smiths.
