The rudest staff - Edit

Then I wanted to try the blueberry bagel in vegan option (as it was written on the menu) the first lady working there said they don’t do it, the second one assured both of us that it’s possible to make it vegan. I ordered a flat white with plant milk, I got offered oat and lactose free :(( I also wanted to use my own to-go cup, which they refused, because „It was just used and I’m not obliged to wash it!” it wasn’t just used, it was just wet, because I wash it after every use.. I never had this problem before. (I would go for a coffee elsewhere if they said it before I paid). I also ordered some plain bagels to go.
Well I got the bagels my coffee and left. They all put it in one bag, three bagels one of them wrapped, but still wet and sticky from the blueberry jam. After opening (the bagel wasn’t cut in half), I realised they were still able to mess up my order by using a sesame bagel instead of blueberry one the vegan version is just vegan cream cheese, blueberry jam, few loose blueberries and few walnuts, still tasted good, but it’s nothing like the non-vegan version is described.
I left upset and disappointed.

This bagel was good! It was good that I was hungry because you will be full when you're finished! I had the vegan bagel with peahummus, radish and tofu and I liked it, although the humus was too much for my taste (and I couldn't fit everything in my mouth at once ;)) and I would have like more tofu instead of 1 piece in the middle. The service was okay, a bit slow but it was fine for me.

For the ok price of 7-8€ you get a pretty decent bagel that is sufficiently filling for lunch, which surprised me a little! There a quite some vegan options which is great, but not everything was actually available.
Read moreThe waiting time can be quite high during the lunch rush hour, as the place is super tiny. Inside only seats 2 people, so this is more of a to-go place.
Apart from this, it seems they also partnered with another Budapest company for this location - a coffeeplace. I was told by my colleagues the coffee here is supposedly terrific, but I haven't tried it myself yet.

They have alot of options available and the vegan BLT I had was nice. They didn't have any vegan cream cheese which really was missing from the bagel and would have made it great. Bagel itself without fillings was a great bagel. I would go again but would need the vegan cream cheese or something substituted in to make it better. Not really any seating but there is a park down the road that is lovely.

Read moreAs mentioned by other users, there’s no real seating area (the place has a total of 4 - squeezed - spots on the inside and two outside) which was the only downside for me.
Other than that, I really recommend it!

Great spot to get a vegan bagel and enjoy it at Donaukanal. No real seating area, so takeaway only. The portions are great and you'll feel surprisingly full afterwards. Tipp: take napkins with you ;)

Bei unserem Besuch an einem Montag gegen 13 Uhr war der Laden gut besucht und wir mussten ein paar Minuten auf unsere Bestellung warten. Wir fanden das aber positiv, da man merkt das die Bagels frisch zubereitet werden.
Wir haben uns 3 Stück geteilt:
New York City Lox mit Carrot Lox von Pepper and Ginny
Vegan - mit Erbsenhummus, Radieschen, Tofu, Salat und Sprossen
Peanut Butter - Süße Variante mit veganem Cream Cheese, Erdnussbutter und Marmelade
Alle drei Bagels haben uns gut geschmeckt, der Teig war außen schön knusprig und innen weich. Die verwendeten Zutaten frisch und gut auf einander abgestimmt.
Die Bagels kann man bei schönem Wetter am Donaukanal genießen, der nur ca. 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt liegt.
