The Benedictine was delicious and staff were super helpful and friendly! The space was very cute. The Benedictine fed the hollandaise craving, without feeling too heavy. The tater tots that came with it were cooked to perfection.

Excellente nourriture, on y est allé pour le brunch et on a hâte d'y retourner pour souper! On a pris le potage du jour (lentilles et gingembre), la gauffre sucrée et la gauffre salée avec des patates en à-côté. La présentation est magnifique et les saveurs sont recherchées!

Was looking for a new place to try for my birthday dinner and this place came recommended by our local vegan group so I figured I would give it a try. I'm so glad I did! The location is very convenient if you're coming by public transportation, right next to Beaudry metro, the ambiance is quite nice by the window, and the food was delicious. The menu is limited but all the dishes we tried were on point. I also appreciated the great service and knowledgeable staff. Definitely recommend this place and I will be back!

Bistro Tendresse is in the Village right next to the entrance to the Beaudry metro station, and it’s a cute restaurant with friendly staff. The food was honestly kind of mediocre — it was good, but not great (with the exception of the smoked paprika hummus that came with the focaccia appetizer — that was amazing!)

Read moreJ'ai opté pour le burger/frites (23$) qui était bon, mais pas au point d'être particulièrement marquée ! J'aurais peut-être dû prendre quelque chose de plus "gastronomique". J'ai été quand même déçue car il est vraiment plus cher que dans la plupart des restaurants. Par contre, j'ai vraiment aimé le mocktail à la carotte (9$).
La mousse au chocolat (12$) est bonne mais vraiment compacte, il vaut mieux la partager (surtout après les plats qui sont copieux) !
J'y retournerais sans doute pour tester un autre plat. Bon restaurant, chic, mais qui reste assez cher pour ce qui est proposé.

Went for brunch and had the Benedictine and the King Oyster mushrooms on the side. Both were delicious. The tator tots were perfection. The place is nice and cozy, staff is friendly. Will return!

Expensive but worth the price. I had the bénédiction and it was probably the most delicious vegan food I tried in Canada so far. Also had the panna cotta.

Happy to report that the glowing reviews are right! We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Everything we had was delicious and fresh tasting. The highlight was the potato dish. You should absolutely order it if it's on the menu! Service was casual and very friendly.

Amazing Meal - Edit
Everything was fantastic. When we walked in, the owner treated and sat us. She talked with us and answered our questions about the restaurant. The waiter was helpful and amazing as well. We started with some vegan wine, a German Pinot Noir. Light and delicious. Then we had the steamed dumplings. Wow, they were amazing. So delicious. For our meals, we had the Risotto and the Pavé. Again, both meals were delicious. (See pics) Looking at other customers orders, all the food looked delicious. Of course we had to have dessert. We had the chocolate mouse and the panna cotta. You would not be able to tell these were vegan, so good. If you are ever in Montreal, I highly recommend this place. Enjoy!!!

Thoughtfully crafted and presented food (and drinks) that happens to be vegan. No prepackaged substitutes, menu items not named after animal based dishes. Favors and textures thoughtfully paired. Service was excellent and welcoming. Higher on the price side, but felt worthwhile for the quality. Only bummer was the food took so long to come out, we couldn't try dessert as we had a show to get to.

Gorgeous plates that are scrumptious. There is a Sunday night Table d’Hote deal right now for a three course meal. I loved it. I picked dumplings as my appetizer, the Pave (which I would say is pommes Anna with duxelles) and chocolate truffle for dessert. I had a nonalcoholic local beer as well, also very good. The service was perfect, Andy didn’t mind my poor French and he could answer all my questions in English. He was very kind and thoughtful. I thoroughly recommend this cozy restaurant.

Nice, upscale yet cozy ambiance. Friendly staff. Timely service. Reasonable prices (it came to 115$ after tax and tip for 3 people). Portions are a bit on the small side but still decently filling.
