Nice atmosphere and great food - Edit
A great place! And vegans could eat almost everything on the menu. I had a burger with a seitan and mushroom patty if I remember correctly. It was very delicious! I also got fries and mayo on the side. For a dessert I had a carrot cake with tofu mousse. The tofu mousse tasted a little strange to me. Maybe I just don't think tofu belongs in dessert due to being made from beans. Or maybe I just need to get used to it.
Read moreI guess the atmosphere in the place was the nicest I've experienced in a vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona. I also read it's the oldest vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona. I recommend going to the place!
By the way, I got a surprise when I was there. I had a ginger ale and I saw the label was written in Danish - and I'm Danish. Then I found out it was produced close to my childhood home on Funen in Denmark where I spent most of my life. So it almost felt like being at home!

Great vegan food + ambience - Edit
Unlike most vegan/veg places, this one is on the larger side and still gets crowded. Their menu is diverse and they have vegan and vegetarian dishes. We had the fried seitan as appetizers and the tomatoe tartar (both excellent) followed by the raw lasagna and apple crumble cake.
Read moreI would have preferred the cake to be heated but can't complain everything was delicious and we left happy
Pros: Many vegan options , Big place and good music , Quite busy
Cons: Need a reservation, Kitchen closes early for Spain (11pm)

We've been here 5 years ago and the place looks the same, for the better! Lovely and cozy little restaurant, one of the first ones in Barcelona. The food was superb. Recommended for lunch or a romantic date.

Very nice restaurant - Edit
Vegetarian restaurant with a lot of vegan options.
Read moreThe entrances we tasted (seitan nuggets with sauce, and tartare) were delicious !
The burger was good, a lot of bread and not sonmuch filling, but still good.
The ginger tempeh and roasted vegetables didn't taste ginger and I added a bit of salt (even if I do not usually use a lot of salt).
The carrot cake is delicious !!
The staff is nice, the plates are beautiful and they use good products.
We liked it a lot.
Pros: Large choice, Nice staff, Good produits and good food
Cons: Lack of seasoning sometimes

Late dinner - Edit
I visited biocenter at about 10.40pm after arriving late in Barcelona and dropping off my things at my hostel. I ordered the special 3 course menu for €15.95. To start a super delicious cream of vegetable soup, followed by smoky tofu with potatoes and a Chipotle sauce. I was full so got my dessert (carrot tart) to take away. There were 3 choices of starter, 3 mains and a whole list of dessert options. The service was friendly and quick despite the restaurant being full and the portions were certainly big enough. Definitely worth a visit.

Quite large restaurant right beside las Ramblas. The food is really good and the menus are very affordable. Homemade food kind of vibe with many vegan options. Like mentioned best by lunch time as it can be very affordable. Cozy and intimate space to hang out for a while

Good but needs some changes - Edit
We came into biocenter for dinner on our second day of Barcelona, it was the first proper restaurant (as opposed to cafes and bars) we had been to. The staff were very friendly which was a first out of all the places we had been to. The inside is nicely decorated. To begin with I got the hummus and bread which was lovely, although I prefer my hummus slightly more solid and my bread more soft. My mother got potato croquettes which she said were delicious. For mains I got a huerta bowl which is like a type of soy meat which came with rice, broccoli, sweet potato and mushrooms. It looked very nice but when I took my first bite I realised it was cold! Very weird seeing as it was all cooked food, would have been a lot more delicious had it been hot. My mother got ravioli and she was excited to eat cheese for the first time after me taking her to fully vegan places, but the pasta seemed undercooked and the parmesan was sliced on top not grated so was too much. Although she said the sauce was fantastic. However she did pay 12.45 for that which she barely ate and it looked a small portion compared to mine. I decided to give them another chance for dessert and got the vegan apple crumble, which was tasty but again, would have been a lot nicer heated up and with some vegan ice cream which is not hard to do. Altogether came to 42 euro for 2 starters, 2 mains, 1 dessert, 1 wine and 1 cola.

This restaurant is perfect, because if you choose the complet menu, you can eat so much! And the food is great, healthy and tasty. The place is big and the waiters are very friendly. And there are many vegan options and you have also a free buffet for salads and more. And finally, the price is quite cheap

100% recomendado! Mi restaurante preferido de Barcelona.
