This shop was amazinggggg!! Everything was completely vegan, so there was no need to check every single item’s ingredients. There were so many cool vegan products so I spent a while just wandering through the isles and looking at everything! I need one of these shops where I live.

SAUBERER Preis, der Deckel von dem Einmachglas war auch so fest drauf dass er dann beim Aufmachen auf dem Boden in duzend Teile zersprungen ist, also habe ich jetzt nichtmal ein liebes Glas... der Kuchen war aber absolut bodenlos perfekt gooey, das Marillenkompott auch garnicht süß sondern toll fruchtig. Ansonsten super Laden, ich liebe es nicht auf vegan Labels checken zu müssen

I was stunned to stumble into this all vegan grocery store. What a great surprise! So many cool snacks and prepared foods. We came back multiple times because we didn't want to miss anything. Worth going to Vienna just to visit this shop. Skip MaranVegan and go straight here!

Billa Pflanzilla is located next to a 'normal' billa store. At billa Pflanzilla they sell only Vegan products, like vegan cheese, pizza's, ice creams, sandwiches, wraps, spreads and many more! There is also a vegan salad bar and they sell vegan pastries. I have not tried the pastries, but it looked really tasty! Nice to have a look around and find new vegan products.

It's a small store directly next to a regular Billa supermarket. Although the store is rather small, there is a huge selection of plant based foods on offer here. We bought a couple of products such as vegan chorizo sausages from Heura, a plantbased yogurt from Vly, a mix and match salad from the salad bar and a couple of dips for bread.

Fully vegan little supermarket - Edit
Touted as a 'fully vegan supermarket', which is technically true but a tiny bit of an overstatement. It is actually a small fully vegan supermarket and it has lots and lots of choices concerning meat/cheese/baking-ingredients - alternatives. It also offers a good salad bar, vegan pastries, chips, sweets, to-go foods, drinks etc... Truly a gem, because this is the place youll also find the more rare stuff you'd otherwise have to order online such as juicy marbles. And it's nice for a change to not have to read all the ingredients-labels!
Read moreRight next to it is a big (regular) Billa Plus that also has lots of choices and lets you do all your regular shopping as well. Additionaly, there is also a small food court that offers even more food with various vegan options.
Tje store is located directly on Mariahilferstraße, in the basement of the Gerngross shopping building.

Ist natürlich eine große und tolle Auswahl, aber ich bezweifle, dass dieses "abgetrennte" System vom restlichen Supermarkt der richtige Weg ist. So wird der pflanzliche Bereich vermutlich dauerhaft nahezu nur vom entsprechenden Publikum aufgesucht, was den Wachstumschancen der Branche schaden kann. Dann vermutlich doch lieber alles in einem Supermarkt und dort ein tolles, veganes Angebot.

i found many vegan products here i have never seen before, also from food start-ups, i guess. i don't know whether some of these things can also be found in other austrian supermarkets, but i found it very interesting to check out all of the products.

still, it's true that some things are rather basic. don't know whether it's cheaper/more expensive than in regular billa supermarkets.

Love the concept of a fully vegan supermarket, but it is rather small.
Read moreThe takeaway options are pretty bland, and the salads at the salad bar are waaaay too salty. I like a good amount of salt, but this was really not edible. Also the schnitzel in the schnitzel semmel was raw!

NOT COMPLETELY VEGAN! At the takeaway section, they have salads with cheese. Vegans need to check the labels, which defeats the point of this kind of store.
