Absolutely excellent, a must try. - Edit
The service was polite and warm but very efficient.
Read moreWe ordered the spicy edamame, gyoza, kosho maki, oren maki, and kinoko bowl.
The edamame was brilliant with a hint of charred lime.
Gyoza was good by itself but came with a habanero dipping sauce that was next level.
The kinoko bowl was good for sharing, especially the unbelievably light and crispy mushroom tempura, but would maybe be a bit basic if you order it alone.
The kosho maki was good with a very nice presentation and quality rice.
The oren maki stole the show for me. Incredible depth of flavor and texture. Get this.
Overall priced reasonably for gringos but on the expensive side locally.
I highly recommend Bigan.

Everything was kinda bland and boring if I’m being honest, and undersized for the price. Took a large group of mixed-eaters here and nobody was particularly impressed. Maybe I’m biased by NYC vegan Japanese fare but this isn’t up to snuff. They also tried their best to accommodate our large group, which I did very much appreciate, but it wound up taking so long that I kinda wish they hadn’t. Wouldn’t return here, even though I do appreciate what they’re doing. There’s a chance that the fact that we had a large group contributed to the meal itself but I suspect the food is always somewhat bland

The atún sandía tostadas and the tiradito no clam are a MUST.
The yakimeshi mixto is also very good and the no beef maki is sooo yummy.
The helado de tempura was one of my favourite desserts before going vegan, and they make it just as delicious as I remember it here.
Definitely recommend this vegan gem.
