Beautiful dishes - Edit
We visite Big sister in september 2025. The menu was super interesting and everything sounded delicious so we had a hard time deciding what to order! All the dishes were beautifully presented and plated. There were fun drink options, we liked the lavender latte! Staff was so warm and welcoming even though the cafe was packed with customers.

Visited December 2026. I enjoyed lunch at BIG sister several times last year. Such a lovely atmosphere and great food. When I visited in December I tried the festive edition of their Brooklyn Breakfast. Sausage, bacon, scrambled tofu, mushrooms and tomatoes with some festive additions of roasted potatoes, red cabbage, brussel sprouts. Delicious.

When we arrived at 10, we were in a queue behind another couple and we're waiting about 15/20 mins before being sat. Then after that, a wave of people were then sat as everyone at opening left, but it did mean that the next people in line were waiting almost an hour until there was space, and we saw a few people give up.
There is only really space for maybe 15 people, but the food is stunning. We got both types of pancake stacks. Definitely preferred the sweet one. The sausage/bacon/waffle stack was good but not as good.

Drink: the cinnamon latte was FLAWLESS!
Interior: So cosy and pretty, but some of the tables were awkward to eat on and better to hanging out.
Logistics: Not great! I know that no bookings are allowed and that there must a reason for it, but to queue for one hour in the freezing cold is no fun. And it was sad to see some people who came to support the business having to leave.
Maybe something like a 1 hour limit per table could be introduced.
Altogether a solid place with the kindest staff!

I was very hungry (hadn’t eaten all day!) so I went all in with the Brooklyn Breakfast, apple cinnamon pancakes, and an iced chai and wow, everything was absolutely delicious! The presentation was immaculate you can tell the chef truly loves creating his food. I was so impressed by the attention to detail and care in every dish. Everything was beautifully seasoned, especially the scrambled tofu 😋 One small thing although it may just be me, I would have liked a little butter for the toast.
Read moreThe café itself has such a calming, cozy feel low lighting, fairy lights, candles, comfy couch as well as tables and chairs, good low music, and even a well-stocked ladies’ bathroom (which I always appreciate!). When I first arrived, the only seating available was a couch with a low table, which I knew wouldn’t be comfortable for eating a full meal, but luckily by the time I returned from the toilet, one of just a few table and chairs had become free much more comfortable for dining. I got lucky going around 3pm on a Wednesday when it was nice and quiet, but it seems they’re usually busy and I can see why.
It was lovely chatting with the owners, who were so friendly and welcoming. They even gave me a slice of cake and a cookie to take home on the house which was such a sweet touch 🍰
Unfortunately, this isn’t their permanent location, so definitely visit while you can they’re not yet sure what will happen after their lease ends. I’ll be back as much as I can while they’re still around ❤️

Had an amazing vegan English breakfast here (small detail but I can’t have bread, so they offered to swap it for avocado for free, which was lovely). The staff was very pleasant and told us their story of how they got to set up the place in London. Lots of success for the future, had a great time here ✨

Really hate to write a lukewarm review, but we just didn’t like the food. The decor and ambience were lovely and the owner was super friendly. But the pancakes and the salad were sadly underwhelming and quite expensive. Maybe we picked badly but the pancakes were cold and not sweet enough, and the salad was 90% kale and a bit dry.

I guess it seemed like it had potential but just wasn’t quite there to be honest.

As a dessert a took the cheesecake, and i think it was one of the best cheesecake i've ever aten.

It looks like this is a French couple doing yummy breakfast and brunch dishes. The tower salee was delish with pancakes and a waffle, sausage, bacon, tamato, maple syrup, cheddar cheese, and crispy onions. More of a savory breakfast then combined with sweet. Old school vibes here. It feels like your living room from the 70s with some music from then too which I loved. The tiramisu was yummy. It seemed like Biscoff biscuits covered in coffee then cream and some other last touch. I don’t think they were adding service charge to the bill. I read or heard they are only here for 6 months but might stay if business is good. Check Google maps for their latest opening times as here it’s too slow updating.
