Outstandingly friendly staff, fresh food - Edit
Santi and Maria make Betty’s Bowls a lovely place for nourishing breakfast or lunch. They were accommodating to my needs and easily made their avocado toast an abundant avocado salad for me. Avocado, fresh arugula, micro greens, hemp seeds, cherry tomatoes and walnuts.

To Biokai the person who wrote the last review, in Betty’s Bowls all our fruits arrives everyday day fresh and from the local farmers, we cut and process them daily and put it in the freeze in the perfect amount to make our smoothie bowls, nothing is frozen from a bag; we have to freeze them otherwise we don’t get a perfect smoothie consistent,instead you will get a running juice, and we are super proud of our compostable ecofriendly bowls, glasses and cutlery, made by corn and sugar cane that discompose in 120 days maximum, we are totally conscious of the environment thats way we keep all organics plus this staff recicle together in order to give it to the company which makes compost with it. Next time ask about your doubts before throw a bad energy to a place and lie to the others.

Generally spoken, the bowl I had was good, it just didn't look anything like on the foto and like I expected. The fruits were all fresh... from the freezer... and then mixed to a puree, so the only real fresh fruit coming in pieces were half a banana and half a passion fruit. So that puree was literally ice cold which didn't make it very easy to enjoy... On top there was a thin layer of granola (I guess around 3 table-spoons) which was tasty.
Read moreFurthermore, the affiliation of Betty's Bowls to the YOLO-Hostel becomes clear when you notice that your food and drink (except for coffee) are served in single-use dishes. "You Only Live Once" - and so do your dishes... At least the bowl was made of carton, beaker and spoon made of biodegradable plastics. Nevertheless, this is very wasteful and could easliy be replaced by usual dishes...

The atmosphere is really cool & the staff will make you want to stay .
Also they have speciality coffee & Freshly squeezed orange mimosas at ridiculous prices

Please note: only vegan places can get 5 stars. Recently opened and the place runs great. I stayed in Medellin for a month and this was my go to place. I love it! It’s a breakfast lunch place with power bowls , smoothies , avocado toast, banana peanut butter toast, coffee. Super cool vibe run by two couples. They are so dedicated to this place and it shows. They offer cheese and eggs as options. Otherwise it’s vegan friendly. It’s part of yolo hostel so there’s always a cool people vibe going on.
