Excellent mince and cheese pie - Edit
We tried many things here, but I recommend the mince and cheese pie the most! The stuffed croissant was decent and the tofu katsu sandwich was very good. The lemon and berry scroll was good - not too sweet - but could have been a bit moister. Boysenberry cream filled doughnut was incredible. The matcha was unfortunately quite bad. The Shepard’s pie was a bit lacking in flavour and moisture.

Omg, I'm so glad this stall didn't exist when I used to live here, as I would have been there every day, (as I sas when I visited) so make the most of it on your visit!

We tried pies (mince and cheese shepherds pie) and donuts - everything was great. I wish this place was in my home city.

Would love to come here every day - Edit
We bought a selection of savory and sweet things for a picnic with a friend. Everything was delicious and I couldn't pick a favourite. Also not super expensive and so nice to see a fully vegan place.

Best Pastries (Vegan or no!) - Edit
Ate here a few times during a stay in Wellington, and every pastry tried was amazing. Delicious, light, and beautiful. I’m already dreaming of the day I can take another trip to NZ just to get more pastries from here!

Capital stuff! - Edit
We got two savoury scrolls and croissants. They were incredible. We ate them instead of taking a photo.. 😕 Hopefully His Highness Happy Cow will forgive me..

So many delicious looking treats, both sweet and savory!! Opted for the lemon pie donut and it didn’t disappoint. Great matcha too! Really busy little space.

Best vegan bakery in Town - Edit
The more centrally located sister to the main Bee-Hive Parliament buildings branch. Although this is a kiosk it has a full range of sweet and savoury products. Very popular with workers and passers by. I picked up a huge almond croissant for breakfast which in simple terms was just scintillating. How do they do it?

Delicious vegan donuts and other baked goods - Edit
Great vegan treats! 🥐🍩🍪 Making a choice was really hard, I could have bought one of each but that would not have been feasible to eat... 😅 I got two donuts (apple fritter, regular topped with red velvet and raspberry) and two cookies. Recommend! 🫶

Best donuts I've ever had!!!! - Edit
Best is an understatement - I've never had donuts so pillowy, soft and yummy. My partner and I had the banoffee and snickers. Soooo delicious! We also had a Korean "chicken" sandwich which was so good as well. Definitely ideal as a lunch and coffee spot. We went to a Romesh Ranganathan show and a Wellingtonian recommended Belén to him, so we just had to go! Loved it, can't fault it!

So happy they have this location - Edit
Belen is probably my absolute favorite vegan spot in welly and this location is so much more convenient than Lambton Quay. I get something at least once a week

Yummy sweet and savory food - Edit
I went quite a bit out of my way to come here since the other Belén is closed on weekends and I am finally leaving NZ on Monday. It was worth it. I got the ‘chicken’ sandwich which was really nice (just be aware that they told me they can’t warm it up due to the size of their warmer; so if you have the time and desire to take it somewhere you can warm it up, I’d recommend that). I also had the “raspberry crème brûlée” filled doughnut which they told me is probably their most popular one. It was a tad sweet for me personally but the cream filling was really nice. The staff were friendly and there is a tiny counter where you can eat standing up if you want.

Nice donuts! - Edit
We had the birthday cake one which was actually the best! Filled with custard, so cool. The strawberry and cookie dough flavours weren't my favourite but the others liked them.

Belén is so good! - Edit
This second Belén location is so dangerous because it’s located in an area I walk past every day. They’re going to take all my money! I am pretty sure the donuts are the best in the world. They have a huge range of flavours, which is pretty overwhelming.
Read moreCurrently this location has been open three days and I’ve been here twice. On day 1 they only had donuts and cookies (I got donuts to take home), but now on day 3 they’ve added one savoury item - a facon and tomato and feta scroll - which I had for lunch today. It was delicious, but not really a proper lunch amount of food.
Hopefully the pies and sandwiches from the other store will be added too.
Pros: Amazingly good donuts and cookies
Cons: Not many savoury/lunch items, yet
