T.Rex co workers enjoyed it - Edit
Yooo this my spot for the cinnamon roll pancakes and tofu scramble. Someday i will try a different item on the menu but I have brought several other people(including T.Rexs) that have enjoyed the food. I avoided this place for a year cause i thought it was a brewery or something 😑. #Veganuary

My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and got the cinnamon roll pancakes, classic breakfast crepe, and a fromage sandwich. Everything was amazing and the seating area is very cute with real plants covering the ceiling and walls. Will be back! #Veganuary

delicious food!! - Edit
everybody i interacted with was very polite and the atmosphere is pleasant. the food also came out pretty quickly compared to what i’d expect. this cafe is very allergen friendly and vegan options are easy to navigate.
Read morei ordered the mexican breakfast crepe (specified vegan) as the chickpea chorizo and tofu scramble interested me. i found that i really enjoyed this dish.
the ethiopian lentil wrap (already vegan) was much spicier, which is something to keep in mind if ordering; however, the sauce created a nice balance and kept anything from being overpowering.
the beerline mac (also vegan!!) was delicious! i haven’t had mac n cheese in such a long time and it was more flavorful and correctly-textured than i anticipated.
overall, i would recommend all of the above dishes as well as taking the time to stop in and get a bite to eat here!
Pros: easy to distinguish vegan/vegetarian, delicious & large menu!, fast service
Cons: parking may be difficult if busy

One of the First and Best Cafes in Milwaukee Where A Vegan Can Eat LOTS - Edit
I've been waiting for a cafe like this! It's in a neighborhood I'm in weekly so I can stop in there often. My boyfriend had the Pico De Gallo, which was delicious even though some of the chips were soft instead of crispy. I had the Spring Roll Crepe w/ peanut sauce, and it was super tasty and way more filling than I thought it would be. My boyfriend had the Basic Breakfast Panini with seitan bacon and loved it, said he would definitely eat here again. He also ordered the Ice Coffee and said it was perfect - not too sweet, not too anything...just right. My Mango Ginger smoothie was also perfect. I can't wait to try many more things on their expanding menu. They've only been open 3 weeks and are still in their soft opening, the server told me. They have a bright future ahead of them! Lots of options, small portions - Edit
It’s refreshing to find a place with so many vegan options, pretty much everything on the menu is vegan or can be made so. The prices are also fair, and the food is tasty. However, the portion sizes are rather small. No sides are included with the main dishes and optional sides are also served in small portions.

great vegan breakfast (any time of day) - Edit
So rare to find vegan pancakes, crepes, smoothies, and tofu scrambles all in one place and at any time of day. All tasty and they have fantastic lunch too. I'm always torn on what to get so I just throw societal expectations to the wind and get a nacho appetizer before my pancake dinner!
Read moreUpdate: online ordering and curbside pick up is a breeze. Online ordering system allows for special requests and a variety of additions. Packaging is all eco-friendly. To go food is "plated" on parchment which makes it easy to transfer to our own plate at home. Well done!

It’s okay. Not the best. Bougie version of Riverwest Co-op but tastes worse.

Milwaukee's Finest - Edit
Milwaukee may not have an excessive amount of vegan options, but the ones that it does have pack a real punch. Beerline Cafe is the crown jewel of Milwaukee, and might be the best vegan/vegetarian place I've ever eaten at. It's the kind of place that I absolutely am going to if I'm passing through Milwaukee. Every single time. It's the kind of place that. I've tried almost the entire menu and loved every single bite. The space is fantastic. The food is ready extremely quickly for how good it is. And I could write for days about how good their cinnamon role pancakes are. They are arguably the best dish I've ever had.

Everything I get here is good. No matter what I order, I also get a crepe Suzette (ask for it to be vegan) as a sweet treat.

Best nachos EVER - Edit
I had their vegan nachos today and they were quite possibly the BEST thing I’ve ever eaten! And I’ve eaten at tons of vegan restaurants across the Midwest. The nacho cheese was so yummy and didn’t taste vegan at all - and the beans and meat had tons of flavor. Very generous portion too. The small was huge! We were just visiting Milwaukee but I wish desperately that I lived there so I could eat at Beerline Cafe all the time!!!

great crepes - Edit
I love this place! They make fantastic vegan crepes BUT MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR BOTH THE CREPE AND INGREDIENTS TO BE VEGAN (not sure why they do that but okay), and their vegan cheese is incredible. I love the savory crepes - the classic breakfast and the Mexican ones are my favorite. I also love the vegan nachos and jalepeno vegan cheese dip. It’s a cute little place, and very casual. Definitely a must-go for vegans and vegetarians in Milwaukee.
