Mofungo & avo stuffed w/ beans mmmm - Edit
This place appears to be a local favorite, it has been hopping every time we have walked by. We stopped in right after checking in to our lodgings (maybe around 3 pm on a Friday so there was a bit of a lull and we didn’t wait long at all for our food). Had the vegan mofungo and the avocado stuffed with bean salad. Great way to start our trip, delicious!

Avo stuffed with bean salad - Edit
I gladly came back to Bebo’s for the delicious, simple and huge avocado stuffed with bean salad (says grain salad on the menu). Came with a side dish, I picked the tostones but they included a mayo based dipping sauce on the side I’m sure wasn’t vegan so watch out.

Best vegan mofongo, hands down! Super no-frills place with local flavor. The veggies were probably frozen veggies but still tasted good. The actual mofongo cake was extremely delicious and the sauce was great (I will ask for extra sauce next time). Be aware that only the red sauce is vegan. The white / garlic sauce has dairy and is not vegan.

Mofongo is boiled not fried and tasted amazing. Stuffed avocado was amazing. Mojitos was cherry on the top!

I didn’t find this place to have many vegan options. The stuffed avocado was pretty good so I would recommend that. But overall I don’t think this restaurant was great for vegans. They do have some cheese-based dishes that are good for vegetarians.

Authentic Puerto Rican food - Edit
Friendly service and authentic Puerto Rican food. We ordered vegan mofongo by having the salsa criolla instead of the garlic butter sauce (salsa al ají). It was pretty good but not mind blowing.

We stopped by for a late lunch and we were not disappointed! We had a vegan mofongo (they threw in lots of veggies to replace the meat) and the avocado salad. We shared both and couldn’t even finish them!

Vegan mofongo - Edit
Mofongo was made vegan without salsa criolla (it has butter, which many do not know). Ask for it vegan without the sauce, we added garlic mojo to it and it was filling. Mojitos are also great.

Incredible vegan mofongo! - Edit
After reading about this local San Juan place on HappyCow, I decided to check it out. My waiter was so friendly and recommended the mofongo stuffed with vegetables. He knew what he was talking about, because it was so good! Come try their veggie mofongo; you won't be disappointed.

Surprisingly good for a non-vegan restaurant! - Edit
Friendly staff that was really helpful with finding some vegan options. We ordered the Mofongo with vegetables, salsa criolla and a side salad. This was one of the best meals I had at a non-vegan restaurant while in Puerto Rico!
