Vegan baking company opened this cafe on Reed Street in the summer of 2019. Offers daily selection of fresh baked treats like cookies, pies, and cakes as well serving coffee and tea. The cafe brings in locally made ready-to-eat savory lunch items like subs, sandwiches, and salads. Accepts custom orders for cakes and baked goods. Open Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:00pm, Sat-Sun 8:00am-4:00pm.

Delivered to our hotel in Center City and arrived warm and tasty. We had the Philly Cheesesteak, Sesame Bagel w/Spicy Red Pepper cream cheese, a cinnamon roll, Nutella Latte, and some cookies for the plane. Everything was delicious. The cheesesteak was easily enough for two people and swoon worthy. Would definitely get the spicy red pepper cream cheese again -the best vegan cream cheese I’ve ever had.

A great spot in Philly. They have a nice variety of vegan desserts and pastries. And they’re all so good! Some vegan cakes can be dry but everything here is amazing. Their coffees are great too. Try the Misfit Mocha! They donate $1.00 from each sold to Misfit Manor farm sanctuary. They also do other fundraisers to support the local community. A great place with great owners!

Batter & Crumbs is my absolute favorite coffee shop I literally cannot ever get enough of this place. I don't live nearby so I come every chance I get, and it is very nice that they do delivery through the apps. Their coffee is soooo soo good, I love the taste so much and they always have the best flavours. Their baked goods are also extremely wonderful, If you love spinach get the spinach jawn, it's perfectly flaky. They also have an amazing selection of other locally made vegan sandwiches and items. They offer to heat them up for you and they are heated to perfection! They have a decent rewards program and an friendly staff! Their vibe and ambiance is also incredible, I feel so safe and welcome here.

Went there for the second time recently and had a delicious hot chocolate. Was very rich and not overly sweet. I also got a Monte Cristo sandwich which was also very tasty. I'm not even a big French toast person! Just wanted something different and I would definitely get it again. I don't remember what I got when I went the first time but I also remember thoroughly enjoying it. will def be back!

We got coffee here and my partner got a blackberry earl gray scone. He said it had no flavor and none of their baked goods looked very good. Everything looked a bit dry. The coffee was also not very good.

Loved the vibes here. Super local and was very busy immediately when they opened. Staff were super nice, and the coffee and baked goods were just lovely. Had a maple oat coffee with a cherry cheese danish and a tofu scramble breakfast burrito. Will have to stop in again on my next visit to Philly for their cupcakes!

Read moreTheir menu just changes surprisingly often, both in terms of items coming and going in general and day-to-day availability. (Also, I used to love one item sold by them and then I think their vendor changed how they make it, and now I kind of don't like it.)
I don't want the above to overshadow my positive feelings, though! I just want to include the one small critical note I have.
If I had to recommend a specific combo: Nutella latte and a brunch crunch wrap!

Parking was a bit hard for someone not from here.
But the place was worth it.
Got some a scone (which is my favorite breakfast item) and coffee cake, and my family got bagel
Pros: Great selection, all delicious, Nice cozy place, Close to the airport (few minutes by car)
Cons: Parking is a little tricky (narrow streets)

The Crunch Berry Cereal Treat was a colorful version of a Rice Krispies Treat. I appreciated the variety of sandwiches, but was disappointed by all the plastic wrap. The Scrapple, Egg, and Cheese Sammy from Primary had so much egg that I couldn't even taste the scrapple.

If you like places like Starbucks (second wave coffee shops with sweet treats) then you’ll love B&C. They have sweet coffee drinks out the dang wazoo AND savory grab and go AND an amazing bakery. It’s one of the few places you can get a vegan croissanwich. Must go

Saved Thanksgiving! - Edit
We came across this place for a vegan Thanksgiving lunch/dinner as we forgot to pick-up our pre-order at Luhv's. The workers there were so sweet and welcomed us since our first back-up was also close today. We had their breakfast burritos, southwest burritos, breakfast sandwhich, and their sunsmoke bisque. All of which were spectacular. Their banana bread and pumpkin spice lattes were also a hit! The owner, Paul, treated us to their very last Gobbler sandwich, which was the highlight of the meal. We ordered plenty of pastries and were given some. We appreciate the generous hospitality from the crew at Batter and Crumbs, it saved our Thanksgiving!
