Only has egg noodles - Edit
I thought, based on reviews here, that they had a vegan ramen option, but the server said they only have egg noodles! I was disappointed. But 3 stars because the server was really nice.

Veggie Ramen — professional grade! - Edit
The Veggie Tantanmen bowl is virtually the only vegan option at Bantam King, but it’s fabulous for spicy-food aficionados! Included saffron, bok choy…
Read morePros: Delicious veggie bowl was a “good burn”!, Super casual.
Cons: Overlit interior needs charm makeover., 1st veg bowl arrived quickly; 2nd took forever.

The best thing we ate in DC! - Edit
The Veggie Tantanmen was extraordinary. Flavorful, spicy (but not too spicy!), Impossible crumbles on top, full of veg. This is unfortunately the only vegan option on the menu, but they clearly know what they're doing. Would give this a million stars, I'm still thinking about it a month later.

Cons: Only one vegan option on menu

Bantam's Tantanmen is King - Edit
In a city of bland vegan options, Bantam's Tantanmen is King. After a week of exploring DC & it's food scene, I was left wanting something... more. And I found it!
Read moreWhile they only have one vegan option at Bantam King, it is delightful. Just the right amount of spice to anyone who doesn't cower at the sight of a few red chili flakes on their avocado toast. The Veggie Tantanmen (ramen) was fresh and prepared beautifully - my only wish is that I could have discovered this gem sooner and been able to enjoy it multiple times on my trip.
Restaurant is cozy with its own unique charm. Do I wish they had more options? Absolutely. But they nailed this one. 10/5 stars from me.
Pros: Flavor, Spice, Ambiance

Spicy, flavorful ramen - with Impossible meat! - Edit
I love that their ramen has Impossible meat in it (unlike sister restaurant Daikaya which comes with no vegan protein) and that it is actually pretty spicy

Great atmosphere in this cozy spot in Chinatown. They have one vegan ramen bowl that is spicy, peanutty, and delicious! Generous portion and great service.

Delicious!!! - Edit
Wish this was a fully vegan place so I could give five stars! The veggie ramen was so good! Pretty spicy, but very much a flavorful spice and not just purely heat. Great place to go with Omni friends without missing out! Also had a spicy margarita that was amazing!
