Fanstastic!

I loved everything I tried, I will have to go back again soon. The curry waffle fries were addictive. The Mofongo and Buss Up Shut were also excellent. Generous portions.

Casually fancy vegan bar/restaurant

This restaurant is completely vegan. We ordered the jerk seitan, curry, and chips as an appetizer. Everything was amazing. Our server was very nice, as she warned us that some food is spicer than people think, and often send it back. That made me switch my meal to the curry. It's at a great location, about a 15 minute walk to the botanical gardens. Though there's isn't much parking, we were able to park about a block away in front of the salvation army center.

Pros: All vegan!, Great atmosphere

Cons: Not much parking

I finally went!

I've been wanting to go to this restaurant for a while and I finally had the opportunity. The food here is very innovative and flavorful. I had the stuffed roti, which was roti filled with Chana Masala. The Chana Masala was probably in my top 5 list of all the ones I've tried. They had an off menu desert the day I went, so be sure to ask!

Pros: All Vegan, Innovative entrees

Cons: Expensive, Not really Caribbean food, but still amazing!

One of the best restaurants in Denver

We ordered the Bake & Chana, Buss Up Shut, coconut bread, and stuffed roti - everything was full of flavor, generous portions. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone coming through Denver.

Awesome!

Soooo happy you went all vegan! 🥰 Thank you so so much 😘😘😘
Was it the pandemic that helped you make that awesome decision? 😀
Being that you made that switched last year in the middle of the pandemic is what makes me think that may be the reason for that clever decision 🙂

Pros: All vegan baby!!! , Delicious unique Caribbean food

Cons: Wish they were located closer to me

Lovely from start to finish!

Don’t even think of not ordering the waffle curry fries. They are aaaaaaahmazing! I also had the Cassareep Rice Bowl and loved it! The staff were so friendly, and the service was excellent! Also, the inside is so wonderfully colorful! I loved everything about this place and cannot wait to go back!

Pros: Excellent service and atmosphere , Outstanding food, lots of options, Thorough contact tracing/distancing for Covid

Cons: No Chardonnay or Pinot Grigio but I’ll live!

Bangin’

I got the big as yer head salad and the jackfruit roti.
Both were excellent! I was really impressed by the flavor of the salad—great dressing. The roti was filling and flavorful. I’ve never really had Caribbean food before and this was a great experience in Caribbean cuisine

Pros: All vegan options , Large portions , Food was delicious

My new fav restaurant

The stuffed roti was amazing. Their house made jerk seitan was some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. I want to eat here every day

All plant based now !

They had some good vegan items before going completely plant based but now they have reopened with a fully plant based menu!
I wouldn’t say it’s authentic Jamaican food, but good Jamaican-inspired food!
My fav items on the menu so far are the curry waffle fries, seitan wings, and the lo mein with seitan !
Some of the Jamaican spiced food loses its flavor profile by being a little too overspiced and unbalanced (too much nutmeg and some kind of capsaicin spice), but mostly very good!!
My friend is a vegan chef and these are the critiques she had about it, so I thought I’d include them!
Thank you to the owners for going fully plant based!!!

Pros: Seitan made in house yum, Crazy cocktail menu, Very fast

Pros: Tons of vegan options, Good for groups

Cons: Waitress wasn't the best

Amazing options

This places has turned the tables for us vegetarians. Instead of sifting through the menu to find the few veggie choices, the menu is filled with a variety of great vegetarian and vegan dishes - but also happens to offer good options for your friends & family who just can’t give up meat😉The vibe is cool, the people friendly, and the food... I go back for time and again. A great neighborhood find that I’m sure will become a long-time staple!

Pros: Great food , Neighborhood vibe, Friendly atmosphere

Cool atmosphere, but the food was gross

We had high hopes for this place but alas, the food was super disappointing. We got the seitan cubano and the vegan breakfast hash. The cubano was completely flavorless except for an overwhelming amount of yellow mustard and the hash had so much flavor that I couldn't process what I was eating. Definitely not authentic caribbean/Jamaican food. I liked the decor, and the cocktails looked rad, but I won't be returning for food.

Pros: Homemade seitan

Cons: Expensive for bad tasting food.

Curry n’ Seitan Wings!!

Really cool vibes here and great options for vegans. I don’t remember the name of my entree, but it was one of the curries. My friend and I also shared an appetizer of seitan wings.

The wings were really tough on the outside, but the flavor was exceptional. The curry was fantastic as well - a little spicy but not too much. I got the mildest one I could so if you like spice, you can definitely get it.

Put a dance floor in this place and it will be perfect!

Pros: Great vegan options, Cool atmosphere

Cons: Expensive , Needs a dance floor!

Best Vegan Wings in Denver Hands Down!

Found this place by accident and I will definitely be back! They make their own seitan and it is fantastic. Three different kinds of wings, and lots of great vegan options on the menu. Might be the best Caribbean food I've ever had. They have a dedicated vegan fryer and kitchen work station. The bartender was super sweet (sorry I forgot her name!) and the drink menu is fun. Highly recommended. Great food without the hipster attitude. Thank goodness!

Pros: Housemade Seitan, Dedicated Vegan Fryer, Many Creative Vegan Options!

Cons: none
