It’s a huge restaurant with a lot of place to sit comfortably inside or outside. They have a very good, tasty and diverse menu for vegans and vegetarians.

Mijn favoriete restaurant! - Edit
Sinds we in Rotterdam wonen zijn we al vaak naar dit restaurant gegaan. Eerst alleen voor de lunch, maar nu ook voor diner en ontbijt! Wij zijn verslaafd aan de “healthy Vegan kapsalon” en de oreo cake is echt goddelijk.

Lovely little lunch place in the center of town. They had a bunch of nice options but we went for the snack plate for 2 people (for 23 - euro). It was actually enough for lunch and completely vegan.

Eerst met mijn dochter van 5 wezen lunchen. Ze heeft genoten van een mega wafel met vers fruit en ik van de tosti. Vriendelijke bediening, voldoende ruimte om te zitten, een gezellig plekje, voor herhaling vatbaar.
Read more2 Weken later met een vriendin een een taartje wezen eten in de avond. Ook al gingen ze bijna dicht het was geen enkel probleem, met een to go bakje kon de rest mee naar huis. Heerlijke oreo taart en blueberry no cheesecake!

Careful if you're vegan! - Edit
I ordered coffee and was not asked what kind of milk I would like as they usually do. When I received it, I noticed that the taste was a bit strange so I asked. Turns out they gave me one with cow's milk. But the staff was very helpful when I told them about my allergy - they offered me a glass of water and prepared a new cup for free. They also checked up on me a few times to make sure I was doing fine.

Het idee is echt goed, er kunnen nooit genoeg vegan restaurants zijn. Maar het eten kan veel aan verbeterd worden.
Read moreDe loaded nacho’s waren voor de helft warm en de andere helft koud, ook was daardoor de kaas dus niet gesmolten maar in blokken. Ook was het voor de helft gruis uit de Nacho zak.
De vegan kapsalon mag bij verre deze naam niet dragen, het hoort eerder patat met salade genoemd te worden, er zaten wel geteld 8 stukjes Shoarma !!!!! Roep je de bediening erbij dat je dit voor €14 wel zeer mager vind krijg je er een extra bakje bij het ook hier weer 8 stukjes shoarma in.
Dan het desert. De cheese cake was lekker maar zeker niks speciaals. De Oreo taart was wel een mooie punt maar hier zat denk ik een hele kilo kristal suiker in, het knarste gewoon tussen je tanden.
Dus alles bij elkaar zeker hier nooit meer hiernaartoe.

I’ve tried many things from Backyard but what I want to recommend the most is their blueberry nocheesecake and oreo cake! Funnily enough, I’ve just read in some review before mine that for someone these cakes were not so good. I guess it all depends on your taste, because I was really impressed with both of these cakes!

Nice big open area with lots of seating and a good atmosphere. The selection is impressive with breakfast options available to 4pm, good healthy lunches (inc Buddha bowl) or fast food (seitan kebabs). Friendly and helpful staff.

Don’t disregard this place because it’s not totally vegan, because most of their food is and the dishes are excellent. The description on HappyCow says: “serves meat, vegan options available.” But it’s more like: serves vegan food, meat options available. They have a lot of great things on the menu, which makes it hard to choose. We liked everything we ordered, especially the pulled mushroom. Friendly and relax vibes as well. Centrally located. Does breakfast, lunch and dinner. We’ll be back! Can’t wait to try that bibimbap!

Read moreFirst time we've tried two cakes: the Oreo cakes was way to sweet for me, but that's what you can expect from an Oreo Cake. The blueberry cheescake was "ok".
Second time we had de Adani Wrap (the inside was nice but the wrap was cold) and the Sateh Sandwich that was good.
I'm not impressed by the food, nothing really special that makes you say "ooohhh!".
Prices are fair for the quality of food.

This large venue has a modern earthy vibe. The menu offers quality food that is generally pretty healthy. I tried a vegan granola dish, for a light lunch. If your table orders from both the all day breakfast menu and the lunch menu, expect your food to arrive at different times because apparently they're different kitchens. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Very pleasant spot in the city for lunch.

Okay. I was going to get a coffee to go, but when I went it, I had to stay. The cafe is decorated so nicely and has such an earthy aesthetic. The coffee was SO good and the staff was very friendly, talkative and helpful.
