Nom!!! - Edit
We were up in Birmingham at the weekend and had to check this place out. Such a cosy atmosphere, really lovely staff, good bar, and the BEST oyster mushie wings 😻 will hopefully be back... Need to try the rest of the menu! 💚

Top quality vegan roast - Edit
Ba-ha is definitely a treat dinner for us. This year, we treated ourselves to the works on Easter Sunday. The Guinness Jackfruit loaf is elite, while my partner had the lentil bake. Great roasties and vegan Yorkshire puddings too. Probably don't need the add on cauliflower and broccoli cheese, as portions are huge, but was still delicious

Nice pub with a decent choice - Edit
Fully vegan food pub with a large selection of corporate brewery drinks. Vegan menu looked great and wee enjoyed this bish and chips (banana flower fish). Plenty seating and there's a kind of outdoor area.

Vegan fish and chips - Edit
Ba Ha is an entirely vegan restaurant, I tried their ‘Bish & Chips’, made with banana blossom this was delicious, I was slightly disappointed it didn’t come with proper chippy chips but the bowl of curry sauce definitely made up for it. Would love to go back to try more, especially as the desert menu looked unreal!

Banging roast! - Edit
Really enjoyed the Sunday roast here! Would recommend the king of roasts which is made from oyster mushrooms. The first time I tried here, it happened to be a football match day and it was super busy and rowdy with footy fans & it took a long time for food. But I’m so glad I went back again to give this place another go!

Good but a little mixed also - Edit
I've always liked The Rainbow pub in Birmingham so it was nice to find out they now did good vegan food upon a return visit to this area.
Read moreThe chicken wings (made from deep fried mushrooms) really were great, probably the best "chicken" wings I've had. They were nobbly and crispy and juicy and had an amazing texture, really would recommend.
The macaroni was really nice, very nice cheese sauce, really good flavour.
Sadly the chips were not so great, they were dressed nicely, the pickled onion slices and curry sauce were very nice but sadly it felt as if the chips had been sat around for most of a day and refried.
Pros: Amazing chicken wings, Great pub
Cons: Chips did not seem fresh to us.

Unique and delicious - Edit
I’ve tried the vegan bish and chips, jerk chickn burger, mac and cheese, and garlic cheesy bread. All were delicious but I’m a sucker for a good mac and cheese, and that’s been my favorite so far. The jerk chickn was pretty spicy too which I loved!!! The “fish” is made from banana blossom and has a super unique texture, similar to an artichoke and kinda stringy. I’m looking forward to trying their Sunday roast and everything else on the menu😄the staff are also very kind and helpful!

The food was incredible, we tried 4 things in the smaller portions available (small or side options) and really liked them all, personal favourites were the mac n cheese and the mushroom wings 👌👌👌

BA-HA - Edit
BA-HA is a vegan kitchen situated inside the gorgeous Rainbow Pub. The venue is lovely, restored two years ago but has lost none of the charm. I arrived as they opened to relaxed music and a warm welcome. I understand it can get quite lively later on in the evening and the music louder with it. Empty on my arrival but it soon began to fill up with more people looking for a Sunday roast too. There were three options for mains, I went with the King of Roasts which is a chick’n style main made of oyster mushrooms and crumbed. This was accompanied by a mix of potatoes, roast and mash, good selection of veg, stuffing balls and the all important yorkie pud! Honestly one of the best vegan roasts I’ve ever had, absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be returning and trying some of the other dishes on offer.

Note: Baha is actually the name of the kitchen inside The Rainbow pub on the corner of the row of shops.

Great Vegan Street Food in Brum! 🍔 - Edit
Being completely vegan, BA-HA just gets it, total safe place for vegan foodies to focus on the experience. An option for a salad or some raw veggies would make this place a 5 star - other than that the place is friendly and perfect.

Had the no beef brisket, the banana blossom fish and chips and a side of mac n cheese. All were great - the banana blossom was surprisingly fish-like, really flaky texture. Lot of flavour in the brisket with lovely roasties. Would recommend here!
