Best food I've had in Hoi An

This was one of the best meals I've had in the whole of my trip in Vietnam! Wow, it's a down to earth family run restaurant that is hidden down an alley with a rooftop terrace. It doesn't look anything special at first but the terrace is lovely & the food is amazing!

Cannot recommend the Hoi an vegan chicken & rice enough - lovely flavours!

We also tried the Vietnamese pancake which was beautiful.

Highly recommend if you want authentic vietnamese vegan food for a cheaper less touristy price in the old town!

My fave in Hoi An

Delicious food, good price for somewhere so central, and I like how you get given little laminated cards with the cost of each dish. You can choose from items on the menu or the buffet, and my favourite part is the mock meat. Yum!

Pros: Taste, Price, Ease of ordering

Some good, some average food

Chick’n bau was good. As were the pancakes, but I was expecting them to be soft and not fried. The rice paper was stiff, not soft. Did not seem fresh. Stir fried cashew dish was ok but lacked flavour. Cau Lau noodles were stiff and not fresh and it was a bit bland. Reviews for this restaurant were very good, so we were disappointed.

Pros: Flavour of pancake was good, Prices were good, Chick’n bau bun was nice

Cons: Noodles not very fresh, Some dishes a bit bland, Slowish service

Fresh and authentic food with view of Old Town

When I arrived here I was instructed to go upstairs. The downstairs restaurant may be a different place. From upstairs there is a nice view of the roofs of houses in Old Town Hoi An. The food seemed fresh and authentic.

Best of the best

The food is soo good. We had summer rolls (really good, with tofu and some fruit, maybe mango?), com ga (vegan chicken, incredibly tasty) and bun can nuong (dam vegan house noodle, with amazing mock meat).
So far, this is definitely the best food we had in Hoi An, we will come back to taste more!

Pros: Amazing food, Very cute upstairs seating, Very nice staff

Cons: Ordered a lot and plates were too big for table!

Great choice of vegan meat

I love the buffet! So many different options to try like skewers, ‘fish’filets, tofu varieties. All very tasty

Pros: Affordable price, Great choice

Cons: Uneasy to communicate

Tasty Vietnamese food

The ladies working here didn’t speak a word of English and even with the translator it was very difficult to communicate.
In the end one of them prepared us a plate from the buffet but we suspect that that’s only for deliveries/take-away and if your eat in it has to be from the menu (but we only suspected this at the end of our meal 🙈).

The food (from the buffet) was only lukewarm but it was reaaaally tasty! It was also quite affordable.

Pros: Very tasty food, All vegan, Affordable

Cons: Difficult to communicate with staff
