Soup was meh...

I had the dubu salad and mandu soup.

The dubu salad was exactly as described, steamed tofu with salad. It was good.

The mandu soup was quite plain, my partner also got the mandu soup (with egg) and said it was quite plain too. The soup had two dumplings, carrot, zucchini, mushroom, and other vegetables. I still enjoyed it but it's just not what I was expecting. I really liked the dumplings but my partner didn't like the dumplings :P

There was other vegan options on the menu that I'm sure taste a lot better, such as bibimbap, or japchae, or anything else lol.

The inside vibe was nice, slightly on the smaller side. Good service, although it took a while for us to get the bill...

Quite cheap :)

Yolk in my Ramyun spoiled the experience

Ramyun would otherwise be good, but double-check when ordering - apparently asking for vegan version (meaning veggie dumplings in the soup) did not prevent cook from putting in the yolk. My partner had tofu dubutangsu and it tasted great, but the yolk now kinda looms over the overall experience.

Edit: now I have second thoughts whether the broth was meat-based or not. The waitress insisted it wasn't, but I don't know what the little brown pieces floating in the soup were. If you are going there, rather go for unambiguously vegan options like tofu with rice.

Pros: Open on Easter Sunday, Homey interior, Plenty vegan options

Cons: They added an egg to my otherwise vegan dish

Great bibimbap

But don’t forget to say no egg. Also, I don’t think the 3 side dishes are all vegan (except the bean sprouts). Delicious nonetheless.

Totally agreed. We just had the same experience and reading this now, it makes me wonder whether I should have eaten the side dishes!

Authentic

In Warsaw there's a lot of competition. It's hard to stand out, when there are some dozen of other Asian restaurants in walking range offering vegan food.
Arirang, it seems, stays true to itself.
Make no mistake, it's still mainly a restaurant offering meat dishes, but they have couple of vegan dishes on the menu. Staff knows what veganism is.
Authentic Korean cuisine, especially if you like spicy food, you'll get your money's worth.
Decent food, lovely complimentary kimchi servered to the main dish.
Limited space inside.
Seems to be the place to go among Koreans living in Warsaw.
Very fair prices.

Good!

I had bibimbap 비빔밥 they have vegan options. So my bibimbap has tofu instead of beef.
It was sooooo delicious. And side dishes and water are free.

Okay at best

Went here on my first night in Warsaw with relatively high expectations. However, most of the food was quite bland and carelessly prepared. The service is nice and the prices are cheap, but the quality isn’t there for me. The best thing from the meal was the complementary kimchi

Pros: Lots of veg options, friendly staff, Good prices

Cons: Lacks flavour, Small establishment

Starting A Vegan Adventure

Arirang is only starting to add "real" vegan options to the menu that is not just salad with tofu. Here you can try Korean fried "chicken", korean rice roll or even korean "beef" bulgogi. Let's support this idea and show that there are more and more vegans in Warsaw so one day we can get a full menu with plant based cuisines.

Pros: Excellent food, Good portions, Decent price
