Only ok, bit over priced - Edit
Unfortunately i didnt love these, and for the price it was i was a bit dissapointed. Perhaps it was the flavour we got but these Arancini were huge menaing it lacked a lot of crunch, it lacked a fair bit of flavour and for 8 euro i was expecting the best Arancini I've ever tasted! I much prefered the articoke Arancini from sale e olio however there are a lot more options here. Just couldn't justify buying another one to try for that price.

Great taste! - Edit
We‘ve tried several arancini and the croquettes, all of them were very delicious! It‘s a bit overpriced but they are very filling and worth a try.

It was nice but needed a sauce or something to dip it in - Edit
I enjoyed this and liked that there were a fair few vegan options. However, it would have been better to break up the flavour with a vegan aioli or a tomato-based dipping sauce. They are very filling.

Tasty but I think overpriced - Edit
Fresh and filling. But I don't understand why the vegan version is more expensive since it doesn't contain any special ingredients.

Huge arancini - Edit
Several vegan arancini, we had pistacchio and grilled veggies. They are freshly made what is a huge plus but it takes a little longer. They are a bit more expensive than arancini usually are but they are also huge and very filling. Has a little outdoor seating area.

Great Arancini - Edit
I had the pistachio one which was freshly made and delicious. Even though it was huge and one of the best Arrancinis I had it is not worth 7 Euros.

Sadly not as good as expected - Edit
I had a vegan Arancini with spinach and olives which was quite delicious. My friend had one with spicy potato cream and chili which tasted mostly like pepper. They were freshly prepared, but quite expensive.

Great arancini! - Edit
I had an arancino with funghi porcini and it was soooo delicious! They would have had 6 vegan choices, all for 6 Euros as far as I can remember. This may seem pricy, but the arancini are very big (300g), so one arancino is a filling meal! They aren't pre-prepared like the ones you can buy at some bars, but made upon request, hot and tasty!

Vegan Arancino, Yes please! - Edit
I visited Siracusa with a friend for a weekend recently and liked it so much I returned for a vacation with my husband. I couldn’t wait to introduce Steve to the vegan arancino restaurant also. With a half a dozen vegan choices, there is something for everyone here. I like the idea of carrying my street food around the city but since Steve has Parkinson’s disease, it was really helpful to have outdoor tables. Being in beautiful Ortigia, it is also good for people watching. I’m a huge fan of pistachio so the pistachio & creamy potato arancino is my favorite. 7€ is quite steep for a fried rice ball but it is consistent with the tourist pricing charged for virtually everything on the island! Not every place here offers vegan options so I’m always happy to support those that make an effort.

Not the best arancino - Edit
I understand that having gluten free products is expensive but in this case the price is free/four time what it should be. An arancino in other places costs around 2-3€ and is twice as good than this one. I’ll give them 3 stars out of 5 because they do have many vegetarian offers and they very kind with customers.

Lots of vegan and GF options - Edit
Traditional sicilian food. It’s similar to any other street-style spot in italy. Easy to take and go or eat on at the tables. Seemingly no indoor seating. Each one is 7€ (in 2021). They are quite large. They also have other stuff like spaghetti and coffee. Easy walk to places to swim and sights to see also.

So good! - Edit
Chanced across this place today when we were all flagging and in need of a snack lunch. We had assumed we wouldn't be able to sample Sicilian arancina as it was all cheese or meat so were excited to find this place. They had about 8 or 10 vegan options. We tried 3 different ones and they were all DELICIOUS!

Discriminative and unfair prices - Edit
I am so sad to make this review, as I am Italian, but the experience I had today really deserve to be told. The discrimination of selling a gluten free/vegan Arancin* for the price of 6€ is unbelievable considering that in the rest of Sicily for a non-vegan/gluten-free one, the price is around 1,50€ (so 4 times less). In the shop the guy was justifying the price as “quality products”, “not trash food”, but as far as I can say, the money are not worth it. And of course if you are vegan/ceoliac you don’t have so many choices and I pretty sure they are making money because of this. It’s really sad, I am really disappointed, this is discriminating. Do not go there.

Delicious vegan Sicilian arancini - Edit
The interior of of Arancinaglutenfree was a bit overwhelming at first, we din't really know where to look first and what was on offer. Luckily the very kind owner come to the rescue very soon and he explaind that he had vegan arancini's to offer and a vegan pasta dish. We tried 2 arancini, one Italian style which was very tasty but spicy so be aware and the other one had pistachio filling which was also delicious and creamy. In contrary to all the other places where you see (non vegan) arancini, these are clearly freshly prepared so after waiting a few minutes we got a warm and crispy ball of goodness. Note that the arancini themselves are quite filling. After eating one we were already quite full.
Read moreA bit later he served a pasta with tomato and aubergine sauce. Which was nice and filling but not that special for 12euro. After the arancini this was too much food so it kept us full during the hikes the rest of the day.
Pros: fresh vegan Arancini

Not impressed - Edit
It is not true that you can choose arnacine to be baked. I do not speak italian, but I kept pointing at the sign they put up in the shop where it says 'baked', and the owner kept talking about french fries... Anyways we ordered them finally, for some reason he charged me an extra euro. It is an oily hot mess, not worth ruining the health, but I wanted to try what the fuss is all about.

At last!!! - Edit
So, I had nearly given up hope of finding vegan arancini during my 2 week travels in Sicily. Then, I found this place located just after you enter the Siracusan island of Ortigia. It is a small, specialty shop away from the crowds. Each arancina is cooked to order and served fresh and hot. The owner is careful to instruct you to “wait 1 minute” before eating. Warm, slightly creamy and succulent. Oh my...I had the one stuffed with pistachio filling. It was fried, but not at all greasy. You MUST try these excellent, vegan versions of a Sicilian classic.

A Scicilian Classic - Edit
You must eat hear to experience the legendary Sicilian arancina.
Read moreArancina (also called arancino or arancinu) is a classic Sicilian dish dating back over 1,000 years ago. The traditional recipe is a rice ball encrusted in crispy fried breading with a meat and cheese sauce in the center. Finding a meatless arancina is rare. Fortunately, Arancina Gluten Free provides a menu that's about half vegan and the other half has a few more meatless vegetarian options.
The owner has a guarantee: you don't like it, you don't pay. But you won't need to invoke that. The flavors are so delicious that I went back to order more between lunch and dinner even though I had enough food to eat.
Prices are good. When I went, it was €4 for an arancina, and one is plenty of food. Note that there is an additional 50 cents table service per arancina if you eat in. This isn't very clearly posted, so might be a surprise. You can avoid it by ordering take out ("da portare via" in Italian), but it's still a bargain when most restaurant charge €1.50 to €2 per person for table service (the "coperto" so common in Italy).
Pros: Delicious meatless arancina!, Affordable prices and table service, Majority menu is meatless
Cons: Food is a bit heavy and greasy, Table service price isn't well marked
