WHY doesn't the restaurant publish open times related to TET holiday here? You should NEVER travel to Vietnam during TET. Almost everything is closed and the vegetarian restaurants available on Grab keep delaying your order and then it will get cancelled because they cannot find a driver. Worst holiday experience in Vietnam after visiting Vietnam more than ten times!!

Tasty vegan options - Edit
This is a treasure to visit in Hanoi. There were many options to try in the buffet, that I ended up getting a tiny bit of everything so I had the opportunity to try it all. The only thing I didn’t get to try was their dessert, which I believe was che, as it was 1:30pm when I had finished, and that is when the lunch time ends and the employees have their lunch time. I think I could have stayed a little longer, but I was honestly pretty full and satisfied with what I had eaten, that I was okay skipping out on dessert.

Gigantic rat! - Edit
Happycow does not allow me to give only 1 star! I cried after leaving this restaurant! We were eating inside when A GIGANTIC RAT ran in front of us! It was so big! It ran fast and my boyfriend and I did not get a chance to take picture or show to staff. I obviously did not eat any more and left trying not to cry. The food was not tasty either. It is 150000 per person and considering price, should at least, be clean! Not recommended!

You not real vegan if you hate rats. They are animals as well.

Omg what a find! - Edit
When I got in they told me that they didn't have a buffet but only a set menu for 70k but in fact I did get the buffet in the end so I was a bit confused. So so so worth it though, this was a gem, everything was delicious and they told me that everything was vegan and no eggs or milk either. I wish I was hungrier!

Exactly what others have said - Edit
You gain entry at the moment by going down path by the barrier to the work that’s going on on the railway line on your left and the Capitol Building on your right the hotel is on your right. You’ll then see a sign for the restaurant, go round a slight bend and it’s on the right, down through what’s essentially a car park.
Read moreYou’ll pay your 150,000 VND as you walk in.
The food, as others have said, is varied with a load of choice. I arrived about 11.40 ish and they were jammed packed , which is justified when you see the choice. I was directed upstairs once I had picked my food as downstairs was filling rapidly and/or reserved. Upstairs was filling up as I finished.
Food good and recommended.

Incredible buffet, stunning - all delicious - Edit
This is a must! My favourite so far. It’s on the “pricey side” if you can call anything pricey here… it costs 150k for all you can eat buffet.
Read moreThe selection is huge. There’s a construction outside at the moment but many signs. It’s inside capital tower, but you can also go straight to were the cars drive. One posted a picture on HC
It gets packed with people (many reserved). Very nice ambience still featuring a huge dragon in the middle. There’s a Bun Bo stand (soup) - right next to the entrance, in the main area is a huge buffet! So many dishes - at least 8 salads, vegan mock meat dishes, dishes featuring tofu, steamed spinach and veg, classical dishes like tofu and plantain in sauce, mushrooms in sauce and create your own bun cha with the best mock meat so far, enoki deep fried, broccoli deep fried, pate (never a fan), fresh rolls, banh cuon!, some sort of deep fried balls - not sure if they are vegan, mayo is not vegan, one salad wasn’t vegan - unfortunately nothing is marked and staff didn’t speak English. I showed translation and also didn’t touch stuff wasn’t sure about
So it’s pretty safe using common sense.
Dessert was a great selection of fruits: guava, mini apples?, watermelon and mango. The viet dessert I am not sure if vegan so did not try any.
I loved all the dishes I had: very flavourful and nicely seasoned! Didn’t even need salt!
Staff is friendly and quick and they refill all the time! It’s huge in here
Tea iced provided
For 150k you get a buffet you’d probably had to pay minimum 60€ back home
It’s amazing what they offer!
150k seems like more than other places but it is worth it. Come hungry!

What an experience 👀🐲 - Edit
This is not your everyday 'couple of dishes, have a quick cheap lunch' buffet. This is a 'huge-huge-HUGE' buffet. This is a 'giant dragon in the middle and families celebrating special occasions all around you' buffet. It is a 'there are eight dishes for the salads alone' buffet.
Read morePractical: you pay 150k at the door, this is excluding drinks but including the rest. Someone will show you to a booth inside, take your drink order, and (depending on how overwhelmed you look) help you with the dishes! Staff were very attentive and quick to help. There are vegetarian options in the buffet but they are rare, most is vegan. The options with egg or dairy are pretty easily spotted and the staff can point then out to you very quickly as well. Theres also a pho bar, a fruit station and a dessert station.
We initially thought it was quite expensive (we actually left the first time but reconsidered and came back another day 😅), but there's so much you get for it. Both in quantity and in quality. There were a lot of interesting dishes we've never seen at any other buffets and the food is fresh and tasty (excluding the fries which are somehow never good in Vietnam). If you have something to celebrate or just really like to eat: don't hesitate!
I also really liked that it didn't feel rushed, our waiter even convinced us to stay for a free refill of tea after we were done eating, we were enjoying just hanging out watching people. It's definitely worth it to come early though, I'd say around 6pm-6:30. It becomes very busy later in the evening. I'd also recommend coming very hungry! #Veganuary

Great buffet, but look out! - Edit
This place offers a great variety of vegetarian and vegan food in an all-you-can-eat manner. Unfortunately there are no labels for the food, so you have to rely on common sense and the staff to guide you regarding dietary requirements. Most food is Vietnamese or Asian inspired. There’s soup, starters, cold and warm mains, salads, loads of mock meat, sauces, desserts, fruit, free tea and water plus more. The restaurant is very busy with locals, either for lunch from the nearby office towers, or families celebrating a get-together. Thus, it feels packed and busy - definitely not a space for a quiet meal. Staff is friendly and helpful and quick to clean your used plates from the table. 150k all you can eat as of December 2023.

So much authentic viet food here! - Edit
Everything was delicious—I only wish I had space for more. If you’re vegan or vegetarian this restaurant is a must try, especially because it appeared to be frequented mainly by locals. I went with a guide but a staff member spoke to me in English and was very clear and helpful.

Incredible - Edit
My partner and I needed a takeout to take along on our 16 hour train journey so we asked if this was possible. A helpful member of staff got us both soups and a big platter of different buffet items for 60 or 70K each. We were sad we couldn't eat in because the buffet was huge and everything looked amazing, but our selection of meals was perfect and the flavors were so good! The mock meats were also very interesting, though we weren't a massive fan of the squid (too realistic and chewy haha!)

Vegan old me ended up with a plate stacked high and still only tried about ¼ of the smorgasbord dishes. Think the best dish I had was the mushrooms, followed by the sweetish square salami-looking stuff. 3 more visits at least left for me

Refused entry - Edit
Really not sure what happened here, but today I was refused entry to this restaurant. I am an expat living and working in Hanoi. I went to the restaurant by myself , as my husband got caught outside of Vietnam when the borders closed. As many other nationals filed passed me Into the restaurant, I was told by the manager that there was no room for me. Outrageous. I won’t be going back and I will be telling all my expat friends about the appalling treatment.

Beautiful and tasty - Edit
We went there this afternoon (15th Nov 2019) and the current price is 99,000 dong per person. The decor is not as nice as Huong Thien but the dragon boat in the middle of the room is incredible, and the relaxing Buddhist music adds a great vibe to the place. As for the food, we sampled everything that had no egg and except one small roll with a weird filling, everything was super tasty! I especially loved the variety of salads and that the only soup available was definitely vegan, same with the coconut jelly porridge dessert, we did not have to worry about dairy much here. Friendly staff, one of the guys at the entrance spoke English.
