An Chay is amazing! There are a lot of different things on the menu, my go to is the udon noddles with veggies and vegan duck, yum! The food is fresh, it looks nice, tastes delicious and the portions are massive! Only thing I’d have to criticize is the pricing of the starters, which, in comparison to the main dishes seem a little off, but maybe that’s just me. Still, everything I tried so far was nothing but great. I love coming here with people who are not vegan and everyone always loves it!

A fairly typical vegan Vietnamese place. The prices are ok, menu good and food was tasty. I was a bit shocked to find they didn’t have English menus though.

Best Phad Thai in Leipzig - Edit
It’s so exciting to have a 100% vegan Vietnamese restaurant in town! I'm now a regular customer, benefitting from their fast delivery (25-45 min).

- The Tanzwunder was awesome - it has a really good Phad Thai taste - the best I’ve had in Leipzig.
- The Wan Tan soup is just how I remember this soup, but I haven’t been able to find a vegan version that tastes like what I remember before I was vegan. So this was a great find.
- The Pfad der Liebe udon noodles was nice - good taste, nice sauce, and interesting veggies.
- The Tofu Curry is light and has a sweetish flavor - really good
- I had a mango lassi for the first time in years and it was delicious!
The spring rolls in the Frühlingsfreude were great and seemed to have peas in them which was a nice touch. The noodles underneath were a bit dry and the two starters (Wie alles begann [fried tofu with peanut sauce] and Gedämpfte Herrlichkeit [dumplings]) could have done with more flavors. The Pho didn’t have a lot of taste, not really any veggies, and the vegan Wurst was an odd combination. The Traumhafte Erscheinung had a nice smokey taste and the dipping sauce was good.
Es ist aufregend um ein 100% vegane Vietnamesische Restaurant in Leipzig! Ich bin jetzt eine regelmäßig Kundin und ich mag die schnell lieferung (25-45 min).
Mein lieblings:
- Die Tanzwunder war Toll - es hat eine sehr gut Phad Thai geschmack - die beste in Leizig.
- Die Wan Tan Suppe ist gerade wie ich mich errinern diese Suppe, aber ich konnte nicht dies geschmack finden seit bevor ich Vegan war. Also dies war eine sehr guter Fund.
- Der Pfad der Lieb udon nudeln war nett - gut geschmack, nett Soße, und interessant Gemüse.
- Das Tofu-Curry ist leicht und hat einen süßlichen Geschmack - wirklich gut
- Ich hatte ein Mango lassi für das erste Mal in Jahre und es war köstlich!
Die Frühlingsrollen in den Frühlingsfreude war sehr gut und hatten Erbsen die war nett. Die Nudeln unten waren ein bisschen trocken und die 2 vorspeisen konnte mehr geschmack haben (Wie alles begann [frittierte tofu mit erdnusssoße] und Gedämpfte Herrlichkeit). Der Pho Suppe hatte nicht so viel geshmack, nicht wirklich Gemüse, und der Wurst passt nicht so gut. Der Traumhafte Erscheinung hatte eine nett Rauch geshmack und der Soße war gut.

My favourite so far - Edit
Truly delicious food - I keep going back. Each time I get the same meal (Tanzwunder, which is like pad thai, and Wie alles begann, to get my peanut fix) because it's just so perfect but my partner is more adventurous and all the things he has tried have been great too. The food seems really fresh and has lots of flavour. Often what I find with ordering the same meal is that it's different each time but it's been very consistent (and consistently good!). The staff have accommodated my preferences and the deliveries always arrive super quickly. I am always stuffed afterwards.

We really enjoyed our dinner at An Chay! The service was very fast and friendly. We had the dumplings as starters and as main dish the Udon noodles with tofu and the bowl with mock duck. It was both really delicious, the seitan mock duck was really crunchy and yummy and there were lots of fresh veggies on our plates. The atmosphere is also really nice and one can enjoy a private dinner, even if it gets crowded.

Gestern habe ich als Leipziger nun endlich mal das An Chay getestet. Wir hatten uns darauf gefreut. Die Reservierung lief holprig. Der Jasmintee war bitter und der Kaffee nach dem Essen ungenießbar. Die Limonade meines Begleiters hat ihm geschmeckt.
Read moreWir hatten drei Vorspeisen. Die Portionen waren klein. Die "Homemade Sauce" war süß sauer aus der Flasche bei zwei der drei Vorspeisen. Die Hauptgerichte waren okay, eine Stufe über dem klassischen "China Imbiss". Ich glaube nicht dass hier jemand in der Küche steht, der schon mal in Berlin vegan asiatisch gegessen hat. Schade schade. Das einzige Dessert Mango Basilikum Creme war nur Mangosauce mit Basilikumgewürz und etwas Chiasamen. Wirklich enttäuschend. Also ich werde nicht so schnell wieder hingehen.
