Green vegetables!

I tried the vegetales salteados which come with hummus and bread. Though the overall dish didn't have a ton of flavor, the vegetables were beautifully cooked and presented. Having been in Colombia for a few weeks, fresh tender zucchini and broccoli were so welcome. Mom liked her meat dish too. I would return to try other options.

Update: I returned to try other veggie options, as shown on the menu. They didn't have the green vegetable soup (just the tomato soup) nor any tofu for the ramen, so I gave the appetiser salad and nachos a go. The salad portion was substantial, if simple, with a slightly sweet dressing, which I would have again. Nachos were pretty bland and cheese-heavy, but ok.

Cons: A bit pricey by Colombian standards, Veg & bread were lacking in flavor

Few But Great Vegan Options

This place is pretty big. I sat in the courtyard in the back which was very cozy. The music was chill and fitting to the vibe.

Initially I was a bit disappointed that there was only one vegan main dish, the Vegetales Salteados (30.000 COP), but when I started eating it, wow - I was blown away. It was absolutely fantastic. I also had a hot drink with uchuva (7.000 COP) that also tasted great. For dessert I had a coffee and a piece of Torta de Zanahoria (8.500 COP). It all tasted great.

Amaranta might only have a few vegan options, but those options are great.
