HORRIBLE - Edit
Ordered 2 dishes. First the chickpea curry and ackee with salted tofu combo wasn’t bad in taste but the portion of ackee/tofu was like 2 tablespoons so the entire dish was basically just chickpea curry and also the ackee was almost nonexistent within that 2 tbsps. Just tiny flecks of yellow was all. The second dish was the jerk lentils. Maybe they had run out because there was not a hint of jerk in the congealed lump of lentils. It looked like a can of lentils was dumped out and some salt added and barely mixed in. I barely ate any of it as there was no flavour but in a couple spots I got a mouthful of salt as if it had been dumped on and barely mixed in. See the photo. For a 25$ dish I expect fresh ingredients. Where are the peppers, tomatoes, onions, garlic, thyme etc?? And again no jerk flavouring whatsoever . Their clientele may be mostly people that are not familiar with what these dishes should look and taste like otherwise I can’t imagine how they could still be in business. Also the “roti” was not authentic at all. In fact I’m 100% certain that it’s the cheap frozen ‘roti’ you can buy from the freezer section of any ethnic store that are filled with preservatives and trans fat. Not fresh made at all. They were like hard pucks despite still being warm. Ive ordered many rotis on ubereats and never seen any like this. But I’ve purchased the cheap frozen rotis in the past and they look and taste EXACTLY like what I received from this restaurant. They have no business charging so much for this food. Worst vegan friendly restaurant I’ve ordered from. Will NEVER go back and will alert everyone I know to avoid this horrible place!

Love 4 1/2 - Edit
Love this place. Beautiful vibe. Nice to see the chef and sous chef helping out with service. It’s always a wonderful thing to have the owner serve your meal! Everyone working offer a pleasant, authentic smile. Very Welcoming. Food:15 to 20% less oil would be better.

Ruined by sodium - Edit
I’ll admit I’ve never had ackee and saltfish (not a vegan version) so I can’t say whether this was out of the ordinary…but their ackee brunch was blisteringly salty. I was struggling to finish it and only could because the buried flavours actually seemed good, plus I was hungry. Even the dressing on the salad basically tasted like salt.
Read moreIt was also SUPER oily to the point the container glistened once empty. I had the impression this was a healthy place but unfortunately this dish, at least, was not.
Pros: Cool space, BIPOC business, Unique food
Cons: SALT. OIL., Pretty pricey (not just the food)

Delicious food and cute space - Edit
Absolutely amazing food. Everything was vegan except some breakfast dishes that had egg in them. It has a little shop inside and a little art gallery in the basement with art for sale.
Read moreWe were a bit confused when we first came in because it's not super obvious that they sell anything more than coffee and tea but we just asked for a food menu and they had a lot of selection. We got take out but you can eat in the art gallery downstairs.
Pros: Almost everything vegan
Cons: A bit pricey
