Fui con muchas expectativas por opiniones y comentarios anteriores pero no cumplió con lo que esperaba. El trato fue muy amable pero la comida, aunque no me desagradó, esperaba más.
Read moreAdemás, la quiche llegó templada por fuera y completamente congelada por dentro. Nos la cambiaron sin problema pero creo que es un error que un restaurante no puede permitirse.
Los canelones nos parecieron poco salados. Los ñoquis caseros estaban buenos.

We waited for over 1:30 hour to eat. We took the potatoes and the lasagna. The potatoes were cold and tasteless. And small. The “lasagna” was tasteless too, cold inside and without any sense (too much ingredients). Do not call that lasagna (detto da un’italiana) Thanks!

Read moreWe ordered the Montadito de jackfruit (would recommend), stuffed potatoes (okay), zucchini rolls (should be paired with crostini), and smoked tofu quiche (more a pie, kinda cold in the center). We also got 2 desserts: textures of banana (surprisingly refreshing) and double chocolate pie (not too sweet).
Altogether if I was in the area, I would go again but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

They had a range of starters and ‘specials’ that were innovative and different, not the type of dish you always find at a vegan restaurant! I absolutely loved that, plus the food was delicious. Fairy well priced too.

Vaig anar a una cata de vins naturals amb @miguel.figini organitzada per @labaulavi que inclou sopar. A la cata es presenten els vins fora de carta que formem part de la carta efímera del restaurant, en aquest cas tota la primavera del 2024.

El servei amable.
Els entrants em van semblar tots una delicia, molt gustosos. Els plats principals no em van agradar tant, els hi faltava un xic de sal però no sé si era perque ja estava molt tipa. Les postres molt correctes, especialment la boleta de xocolata i avellanes.
M'agradaria tornar a anar per provar em menú normal. El recomano.

Comimos pinchitos de chorizo y de butifarra, buenísimos. También langostinos rebozados con mayonesa, excepcional. Y por último, una fondue de anacardos con brocheta de seitan, a este le faltó más pan porque nos quedamos comiendo cucharadas de la salsa. El seitán no me gustó para nada, muy seco y ademas el calabacín muy crudo para mi gusto.

Arrived to find dirty tables, but the friendly staff quickly cleaned one for us. Service was fast, and we could order a multi-course menu even close to closing time. The lunch package at 12.50 included a starter, main course, water and dessert or drink (coffee/tea). While portions weren't huge, combining starter and main made it enough.

To be honest, we weren't really hungry but the images of the interior and the fact it's a woman's own made us come. The tree inside is really cool.
Read moreFor a start we took the zucchini and the eggplant dishes which were basic and good. We took the vegetable paella but the rice was under cooked, salty and sour. We took 2 bites and left the rest of the plate.
Maybe it's me, but I was expecting the owner to be more active.

Local agradable, la decoración con el árbol que tienen resulta curiosa. La ubicación es ideal, ojalá hubiera más sitios veganos así en los barrios sin tener que ir al centro. Los platos son interesantes, pero lo que nos encantó fueron las patatas bravas. Para repetir.

Alive is a great choice for vegan cuisine If you're willing to travel outside the center. Serving cod, shrimp, and calamari, Alive creates a worthwhile, unique seafood experience but stick to the seafood.
Read moreIf you're coming from the subway, the easiest transportation method from the center, the neighborhood does not inspire fine dining. The exterior and location also contradict what you will see inside. The carefully crafted interior decor feels clean and sleek, and the soft beachy colors and woven seagrass complement the seafood options.
We started with Croquetas. I've had a lot of croquetas from many different places in Spain. These were not my favorite. They were under-burned, but the interior creme inside was serviceable. Not a great start.
The seafood is perfectly crafted. The Buñuelos de Bacalao (Cod Fritters) are fluffy and fishy, served in a green corn starch-based cream sauce. Both pair incredibly well. The paella with calamari and shrimp was great. The calamari was cooked perfectly in oil and then placed on the dish. The rice was al dente, a deceptively difficult accomplishment.
The dessert was disappointing. The texture of the trifle and the mousse were too thin. I felt like I was eating melted ice cream. None of the other options interested me, so I'd skip it altogether.
There are some problems here, but the seafood radiates at Alive. If you stick to these choices, you will not be disappointed.
