3.5 stars, great for a non-vegan place! - Edit
I sometimes have trouble with a star ranking for non-vegan places on Happy Cow. 4 seems high but 3 seems low, so….
Read moreAnyway this place had a great selection of interesting vegan rolls despite not being a vegan place. It was nice to have cool and fun options and not be stuck with just the basic handful of things that sushi places toss to vegans to keep us happy. I especially liked the interesting combos of veggies and the option of some faux fish.
That said it was a little hot and cold. Some of the things we got were awesome and others were less good. The balance of ingredients was occasionally off (some had too much rice or were gummy) but the flavors were still good. I enjoyed my meal and might just choose a little differently next time.
It’s a great option if you’re with omnis who don’t want to go to one of Montreal’s many dedicated vegan sushi places, or if you can’t get a reservation. It’s also good for a Monday when a lot of vegan places are closed!

The combo platters are really good overall, and I'm glad that there is a vegan menu. However if I had to nitpick, when ordering combos, you get what they send you, and one time I got loads of strawberry filled sushi, which is not my personal preference. I'm grateful for the options they offer, just wish they were more consistent and less of a surprise box. Always very fresh though.

Vegan sushi plate - Edit
When ordering from sushi restaurants, it's not always easy to figure out what's vegan. Aiko offers a (clearly labelled) vegan plate for 2 people, so you just order that and you're good to go! Sushi is delicious and not boring!

Great sushi place when dining with meat eaters - Edit
It’s always difficult to find a place that serves meat eaters and has a decent selection of vegan/vegetarian options as well. This place was great, found it on Uber eats and decided to give it a go. The food was enjoyed by everyone. I had the Lotus Roll and the vegan shrimp poke bowl. Would recommend both.
