No longer our choice

Afuri had some awesome vegetarian items. Not much to say now that they are gone. The cashew gyouza, gone. The potato mushroom dish, gone. Nothing veg to replace them.
Edit: I looked at their menu again today. There is even less now than when I wrote this review. No veg. entrees. Nothing under the "HOT" section. I hope they can bring back those really great dishes.

Pros: The items that were removed from the menu

Cons: Fewer excellent choices.

Don't Hurry to Afuri

I ordered Inari and the only vegan ramen--Yasai Yuzu Shio. The Inari is a slightly sweet tofu pouch filled with rice. The ramen includes shio tare, vegan broth, seasonal vegetables, negi oil, yuzu, dried tomato, and fried garlic. It had a somewhat citrus flavor that was okay, but not what I expected. Overall, the meal was fine, but not good enough to return, especially for the price.

Pros: clearly-marked vegan options, quick service

Cons: limited vegan options, expensive, can be busy

Swanky

Only one vegan ramen. It was good, but failed to satisfy my ramen craving. Yuzu in the broth makes it a lot sweeter. None of the traditional ramen toppings, like garlic, green onions, tofu, bok choy, nothin. A nice topping of fresh veggies instead: carrots, radish, romanesco, okra!? Not bad, just not what I expected nor what I was craving when I looked up ramen spots. It was tasty, no doubt, and technically it was ramen. But if you have a craving for some classic ramen try another spot.

The vegan dumplings were super tasty, and exactly what I was hoping for.

Pros: Fancy, Good service, Sake and cocktail selection

Cons: Expensive, Only one vegan ramen

Hazelnut Ramen is Devine

There are hardly any vegan options here but the one vegan Ramen makes it so worth it. It’s truly incredible. Even some of my non-vegan friends get that one because they like it better too.

Pros: Best Ramen I’ve ever had, Beautiful restaurant , Many sake choices

Cons: Pricey, Hardly any vegan options, Very long wait times

Vegan ramen!

Limited options for vegans. Ramen was very good. Very crowded and a little pricey.

Creamy Ramen

This is an awesome choice for ramen, but they have many other vegan choices. We got both ramen options and the veggie roll. All were so good! The roll wasnt plain like most veggie rolls. Truffle Miso was creamy with deep flavors & the Hazelnut Tantanmen was spicier, with hazelnuts (who knew that would work). The bok choy was grilled on a flame, so it had some char. It has an open kitchen so you can watch as they make the noodles and prep the bowls. There is a lot of windows for natural light, which I loved.

Pros: Vegan options, Cool atmosphere
