Not the best but still tasty - Edit
It's not as good and cheap as the other Ethiopian restaurant "Habesha" in Lavington. The shiro, lentil, and the greens were really good but the rest was very bland. The portion is really big so I recommend ordering just one veg platter for two people to share even though the menu says it's only for one person. But again, I'd rather go to Habesha for so much better food that's even cheaper!

Great Ethiopian food - Edit
Let's get one thing straight. The food is fantastic. Alright, so Ethiopian food is one of my faves, but Abyssinia is good even by Ethiopia standards. I had the beyanetu (marked on the menu as vegetarian mixed dish for one), along with tegamino shiro, which was shared with friends. All was delicious. And great to have the option of white or brown injera (go for brown). The reason I have given this four stars rather than five is because the larger dishes for sharing which in Ethiopia would be vegan are here vegetarian - they contained cheese and eggs. I realise this is an adaptation to the local market, but even so I find this disappointing. But otherwise this is a great option, as, let's face it, beyanetu is all you need.

Vegan injera - Edit
I needed to eat ethiopian food while I was in Africa so I looked for places where I could find injera with nice vegan options and I found this place. You can get here by Uber because I honestly don't know where this place is located haha (obvs if you're from Nairobi you won't have an issue getting here) but it's worth it.
Read moreBUT the injera is HUGE so you need to share it with someone else!
I asume that the vegetarian injera is vegan by default, but let them know you're vegan anyways. It's sooooo good!
