It was my first Kunefe and it was delicious. This is the Palestinian version and the owners is super friendly and will be so happy to explain and show you how to make it.

Fun experience and sweet dessert - Edit
I’ve never had künefe before so I’m glad I was able to try it out. TBH, I found it too sweet, tho. My Turkish friend said that it tasted similar to the non-vegan version. The shop owner showed us how to make künefe in details which we felt like we were in the cooking class.

The owner really makes the place what it is - Edit
By pure coincidence, we read about this place on Google and knew we HAD to try it. I’d never heard of a vegan Kunefe version (or Kunefe at all) and I am now dreaming about more. My partner said this might be the best dessert he had ever had.
Read moreBoth versions are great, I preferred the more “burnt” one but that was an accident I believe. I’d ask for it myself again.
The owner himself was there and he was the sweetest person. Very proud of his work and knowledgeable, he shared with us how to make the Kunefe and offered us to watch the process and film it. You can really tell that this is important to him and we wish him the best!

Small shop in a side street, but 100% recommended. We were there late in the evening and the owner made us some delicious vegan kunefe. Very nice owner, fantastic vegan kunefe!

It was my first künefe ever since i am vegan so I was really excited to go. Looks quiet small and take-away from outside but don’t let it deter you. Once you enter the atmosphere is really cosy and the owner is more than welcoming. The Künefe was super delicious and I will definitely come back once I return to Istanbul. Give the Arabic coffee a try, it’s also really really good!
