My 1500th review - Edit
This is my 1,500th review on HC. I was hoping to have a special place to review for this milestone. I had previously visited another (now defunct) branch of AbcV, so I suspected this one would be good as well, and I was not disappointed.
Read moreThis Michelin-recognized venue is extremely elegant yet casual. The service and atmosphere are great, as is the food. I had a bulgur burger and potato fingerlings, and a chocolate cake plus coffee. Extremely delicious and creatively prepared. Not surprisingly, it was also quite pricey--but good food comes with the cost, after all. The food isn't all vegan, but there are plenty of vegan options here.
You can enter this place from 19th Street or through the ABC furniture store. Note that there are also a couple of non-vegan ABC restaurants in the same building, so make sure you go to the restaurant that is vegetarian (at first, I mistakenly sat down at the wrong restaurant).
Pros: Great food, great sevice and atmosphere
Cons: Not all vegan, pricey

Amazing! - Edit
Ate dinner here with a party of 5 (including non-vegetarians). Everyone raved about the drinks and food. ABCV serves small plates for sharing. Although some dishes contain dairy, they made every dish vegan so we could share.
Read moreThe entree that WOWed everyone was the batter-fried chicken of the woods (wild mushrooms). But other delicious dishes included avocado lettuce cups, dosas, herbal basmati pilaf, sweet corn wontons, roasted cauliflower, and mushroom walnut bolognese. Our beverages included green glow juice, espresso martini, handmade margarita, and rosewater lemonade.
Everything we ordered was spectacular. No notes.

Innovative Plant-Based Perfection - Edit
Read moreABCV offers an unforgettable plant-based dining experience. The dishes are vibrant, creative, and packed with bold flavors, like the roasted cauliflower with turmeric tahini and avocado lettuce cups. The presentation is stunning, and the staff is attentive and knowledgeable. A must-visit for anyone looking to elevate their appreciation of plant-based cuisine! Make sure you save room for some amazing plant-based dessert. #Veganuary

Absolutely the best - Edit
Best, most delicious meal.
Read moreWe had the Restaurant Week menu. Fixed price for a choice of three appetizers, three entrees and three desserts. We were a party of three so we got one of each and shared them all.
Each plate was beautifully prepared and totally delicious the restaurant is beautiful and the service was perfect
Appetizers were avocado lettuce cups, beets with an avocado purée and crisp summer cucumbers
Second course was a whole cauliflower baker with a tahini lemon glaze, seared tofu with black maitake mushrooms, brocolini and ginger and mushroom walnut bolognese.
Desserts were carrot cake, a warm gianduja cookie and flan.
Anything they do is beautifully prepared. Absolutely delicious.
Couldn’t be better!

AbcV - Edit
Very few vegan options to choose from for breakfast. They won’t offer items from the brunch menu or the lunch menu during breakfast either, so I’d suggest finding vegan breakfast elsewhere. It’s great for vegetarians though.

Delightful fancy brunch - Edit
We got an espresso martini, a vegan croissant, the green hummus, savory oats, semolina pancake and Thai Iced tea Sunday. My partner says it was the best hummus he’s ever had. He said the semolina pancake was just ok. I really enjoyed the savory oats. They were very veggie forward and the mushrooms and romanesco were 👌👌👌. The croissant was pretty good too though I’m not much of an authority on pastries. My partner really enjoyed the Thai Iced Tea Sunday. Overall we really enjoyed the food. Most things can be made vegan here except for the egg dishes and one of the pancakes had dairy.

Beautiful and delicious vegetarian and vegan fine dining - Edit
Old review from 2018: Vegetarian restaurant that can accommodate vegans, abcV has beautiful and delicious foods. What I love about many of their dishes are just great preparation of vegetables and flavors. And less about trying to veganize dishes.

Some stellar dishes + some meh dishes - Edit
Incredible dishes: dates, market beets
Read moreReally great dishes: green hummus
We had some really incredible dishes here but most of the entrees (including the $30 cauliflower, curry, and shiitake mushrooms) were only good and not worth the high cost.
Our total bill was $220.
The servers and ambiance were great. I'd love to return, but I'll probably eat beforehand and only get a few select dishes here.
It's also close to The Stand if you're trying to catch a comedy show afterwards.
Pros: Dates, Beets, Ambiance
Cons: Cauliflower , Cost
