Terrible experience - Edit
I booked a table for 12pm, we got there on time but the place was shut. I could see someone inside but they kept ignoring us, after calling the number a couple of times the guy finally answered the phone, came out and said the chef didn't come to work that day. No one emailed, or tried to call us. It was quite hard for us to get there with a wheelchair and two young children. Luckily le potager de charlotte wasn't far so we went there even though we had it for dinner the night before. Afterwards no one apologised - I just got a generic email saying 'hope you enjoyed the experience...
Read more' Shame we didn't get to try 42 degrees as it seemed like an interesting concept...

Wow, that’s unfortunate. Sorry that happened. I had a similar experience with a chef not coming in and then having to stay closed, but we did at least get an apology. Hope they learn from this mistake.

Best RAW food in Paris - Edit
Süßes, kleines Restaurant in Fussnähe. Unkomplizierte Online-Reservierung, schnelle Bestellung und sehr gute Wein-Empfehlung. Passte sehr gut zum Mushroom-Burger, der in der Geschmackskomposition überragend war. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt!

Fantastic desserts - Edit
I don't recall the names of the items we got, but I do recall what the fake food was like. I got a jackfruit dish that contained rolls of jack fruit.
Read moreI think it was wrapped in zucchini. It was good, Not necessarily great but good. My husband got a seaweed-like dish and celery soup. The soup was exquisite. I thought his seaweed dish was gcod, but It was a lot of seaweed without much else. It was referred to as a sea bean dish with black radishes and a horseradish emulsion.
We got two desserts, and they were out of this world. They were absolutely delicious. I think one was called a chocolate cake. It seemed like a chocolate mousse to me. The other was a strawberry tarte dish that had a similar texture to raw cheesecakes. It was the tart of the day.. It did contain other fruits, and it was exquisite.

Super experience - Edit
The cuisine is refined, innovative and the flavours are subtle and surprising. Not everything was to my taste (one of the starters and the mise en bouche/appetiser) but I really enjoyed the experience.

Locale gestito da personale giovane e molto preparato, mi hanno dato una spiegazione molto esaustiva sul piatto che avevo ordinato. Piatti crudisti da provare, meglio di quanto pensassi non essendo crudista.

Raw?! 😀 - Edit
Yes, it’s raw vegan. As a vegan - but not a raw vegan - I approached the meal with some trepidation. But…it was great! Not really sure how they do what they do without cooking anything, but it was really excellent. And last night, after the meal, it sounded like there was a brass band in the bedroom with me.

Really tasty food - Edit
I booked for dinner and was able to choose my seat, but it did get busier. Raw food restaurants aren’t my first choice but I’ve been to Paris several times without trying it and decided to go. I ordered the soup which was an artichoke soup. It was really tasty. I enjoyed this a lot. Next I ordered the parsnip parmentier. It didn’t come out as I expected but it was very tasty. Especially the intense juice. I wasn’t going to order dessert but i saw they had tiramisu which I can’t resist! It seemed to be a deconstructed tiramisu which was very nicely presented but not my favourite version of tiramisu that I’ve had. Nice staff and a nice restaurant.

Surprising - Edit
Being vegan I wasn’t expecting raw food to be so delicious. This completely surprised me and my non-vegan boyfriend. If we lived in Paris we’d come back just to try out the entire menu.

Vegan, raw and organic, only on Paris - Edit
Located a stone's throw from the Gare du Nord, in the Rue Lafayette and rue du Faubourg Poissonnière district, this brand decided in 2013 to take up the challenge of offering raw and vegan quality cuisine at the start of the rise of 100% plant-based restaurants. in Paris.
Read moreI remind you that the cru is based on cooking food limited to a temperature of 42°, a temperature at which the nutrients tend to disappear, hence the name of the restaurant.
I already knew this place of reference for vegan vintage in Paris, but a lot of a priori about this cuisine that I knew how to cook due to a lack of skills on the subject.
But I kept an eye on this brand which, like all restaurants since 2020, has encountered a lot of difficulties.
Going back to this evening of 2/2/2023, it completely opened my eyes to the taste and quantitative quality of this cuisine. I was pleasantly surprised at the hearty choices on offer.
I decided to take a discovery menu.
I was able to appreciate extraordinary makis presented in a very original way.
Then a parmentier of parsnips, stuffed with walnuts and baby vegetables and a strong jus, immediately won me over.
Then the pear and carob tart, a delight for the eyes and the taste buds.
To go further and finish convincing myself, I also tasted their famous vegetable foie gras and their vegetable cheese, their specialty, including the rawmenber which was a real success at VeggieWorld in 2016!
The decor is completely in keeping with the restaurant, a large number 42 with fossilized plants, books. a black facade that sets the tone for a raw, organic and vegan bistronomic restaurant.
Chef Fabien Borgel presented the mouth-watering dishes to us in a very professional and committed way to highlight the quality products in these dishes.
It has become a restaurant that I rank among the best.
The all-you-can-eat brunch on Sunday is calling me soon!
In short, a challenge for this type of raw, organic and vegan restaurant whose preconceptions went up in smoke as I ate well and enjoyed the dishes.
Pros: welcome, copious, Déco

Good raw food restaurant - Edit
One of rare completely raw food and gluten-free places in Paris. I like this place although the dishes are sometimes too heavy for me (too many oils in it). Some subtle changes could make huge difference in their offer. They also organize raw “cooking” classes which I also like but I stopped participating in it because the owner keeps forgetting sending the recipes which we paid for. Anyway, a nice place with a creative chef.

If it wasn't for the price ... - Edit
... I would say 3 stars.
Read moreThe food - the most important part of eating out - goes from ok to good. We both ordered the Gourmand menu (42€). Starters was the apricot dish and another one I forgot already. Not so great. Mains were the lasagna and the burger. The former was nice, the latter, forgettable. The cheese platter was good. Dessert was a lemon cake and a chocolate thing. Both were nice, although I much preferred the chocolate option.
Service was fine, but sitting wasn't great: the road is very noisy and cars are too close.
I definitely won't go back.
Pros: Interesting dishes
Cons: Expensive, Not so nice location for outdoor dining, Average food

Great intro to raw food - Edit
Having never tried raw vegan cuisine before I was a little unsure what to expect, but my meal was delicious. Cauliflower soup for starter and the most delicious & savoury noodles for main, I couldn’t believe they weren’t cooked! I’ve seen others say it’s pricey but 42€ for those dishes, a glass of natural wine and a pot of jasmine tea seemed fine to me. The menu is small but changes seasonally.

Recommend if you love raw vegan food - Edit
I did not do my research 🙈 didn't know this place is 100% raw. The dishes looked beautiful, flavor wise very good and also a nice wine selection. But I don't love raw food. I can imagine this is a nice experience for a raw vegan because the presentation is quite fancy... But not my thing and quite expensive!
