veganised portuguese cuisine - Edit
the food and wines were fantastic: we shared a few entrances, such as a typical “sardine” dish, an “octopus” salad and jackfruit “ceviche” - for desert we tried the chocolate mousse and crème brûlée. recommended if you are looking to treating yourself a special evening.

Go if you like the taste of meat - Edit
The Francesinha and Seitan Steak we had were very good yet intense in their taste. Which comes close to it's meaty variation but might not be to everyone's liking. The sides to the dishes were disappointing though and the peanut-chocolate cake only decent (very much like peanut butter). The port wine is excellent, the lemonade is for all those who dislike sugar. The staff is attentive as can be expected for the range this restaurant aims at with its high prices. Still, a nice experience, where you should make reservation a couple days beforehand just to be sure.

Went with my omnivore parents, who loved it. The food was excellent and service attentive but not overbearing. Had a good selection of vegan traditional Portuguese cuisine and the creative cake of the day (strawberry and lime cheesecake) was outstanding. Wish I could have gone more than once!

Very innovative menu - Edit
The menu was really interesting and contemporary to read, made the choice difficult. Really glad they have some Portuguese dishes veganised. Would have liked room to try the cheeses but too full.

Portuguese dishes veganised - Edit
It was nice to try out some traditional Portuguese dishes. I had the Francesinha, which was fantastic. It came with ”chips” which I thought would be french fries but turned out to be potato crisps instead. They didn’t really go with the dish at all.
Read moreFor dessert we ordered a creme brulee and a cake slice. I’ve never had a creme brulee before so I was very excited to try it out and it was really delicious. The chocolate peanut pie was a bit of a disappointment though, I would have expected more than your average boring raw cake for this price tag.
It was really busy but we were lucky and got a table right away.

It's one of the best vegan restaurants I have ever been - Edit
I have been twice at the old place, which was always super good . Now they moved to a newer, bigger place and somehow it seems they also upgraded the food, if that was even possible.
Read moreFrom all the vegan places I have been, this is really one of the best and sympathetic one.
It's not really (luckily) fine dining, but upper standard. The atmosphere is great the waitress and waiters are friendly...
What can I say, I love this place, and I hope it will be still the same when I'm back in Lisboa!
The only thing which I missed in the new place, is the plate with all the desserts to test, as they had it in the old one. Please bring it back.
Also a vegan Pastel de Nata would be nice
Pros: Best food, New place is awesome, The starters plate is super awesome
Cons: I miss the old dessert plste, as in the past , Maybe a vegan Pastel den Nata would be nice

Hidden gem! - Edit
One of the most creative vegan restaurants I’ve tried. The food was elegant, presented beautifully, and flavorful. We tried the “octopus” salad, the seaweed wrapped tofu with roasted potatoes and greens, a vegan take on caeser salad, and an amazing coffee flavored cake dessert! Vegan wines and beer were plentiful.

I tried the vegan steak. Very very chewy and couldn’t finish it.
Read moreThe chips were actually potato crisps but thst could have been a language barrier thing.
It was a nice place, a bit expensive for what it is though. My friend loved her food but the portions were a little smaller than what I’d expect for that price

Fancy vegan restaurant offering a modern Portuguese cuisine - Edit
This restaurant really made an impression. The food was super delicious, Portuguese inspired and from my perspective a must-go to complement any Lisbon trip. I had the chance to experience a quite unique vegan restaurant that gives you an impression of Portuguese cuisine cruelty free😄

Up there with the best. - Edit
AO 26 was an experience to remember. This was up there with the best of the best that I have experienced in my rather average career of vegan dining. It seems like the Lisbon equivalent of smith and daughter in Melbourne.
Read moreEvery dish in this fine dining experience was crafted with thought provoking bursts of flavour and texture, starting conversation that lasted until the next bite.
To drink we got a jug of peach sangria, which went down way too easily. My favourite dishes were an octopus salad and a fried cuttlefish. Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine some lunatic might attempt, let alone pull off some sort of vegan dish like this. But there we were.
It killed us not ordering the cheese platter, because we were sadly too full after each of our desserts. It was expensive for general Lisbon dining but extremely reasonably priced compared to the rest of the world. We ended up spending 70 euros stuffing our faces with delicious vegan food and drink. A must visit when in Lisbon.

Incredible experience - Edit
One of the best dining experiences we had during our trip, it felt like we were on a movie set - from the semi-hidden location, the small but intimate setting, with staff taking care of every request. But the food but is what we will talk about forever. We had the traditional Portuguese started board, and it was mind blowing. The “octopus” salad was incredible. I had the Seitan steak that scared me into thinking I was eating steak, but was delicious. My son tried the Francesinha that was so unique and fantastic, and my husband had the Sea Soup that took him back to fish eating memories. Dessert was mind blowing. What a great experience.
