Room for improvement - Edit
During my most recent trip to Puerto Rico, we visited 100% HP on three different occasions. Of those 3 occasions, I would say only 1 of those visits was a pleasant one.
Read moreThe Food:
The menu is so extensive and large that you can order anything from traditional boricua dishes such as stuffed avocados with tostones to international fare such as chikn' lo-mein to comfort food like hamburgers and sliders.
We had a bit of all of that throughout our 3 visits and my impression was is that they really play their strengths when it comes to the more carnivorous foods such as sliders and hamburgers with fries or onion rings.
The not so good were the stuffed avocado plates where the "beef" was too salty and the tostones lacked proper seasonings or sauces to dip the food in. The stuffed papa was also okay as the potato portion was very plain and required some salt to make it edible.
The space:
This restaurant has a very large footprint and is in the heart of Santurce. I loved all the ridiculous pro-vegan signage everywhere along with the odd and abstract art of vegan celebrities all around. It made for a comfortable eating experience and the restaurant was very spacious.
The BAD:
The front of house staff was EXTREMELY RUDE despite the restaurant not being busy and approaching them with respect & compassion. In particular, one staff member because visibly and verbally upset during our first visit when I requested a few more napkins and that request was ignored so I attempted to grab them myself.
The 3rd time, this same staff member did not attend our table but I did have to approach her once about getting a to-go container for our food and she paused to look at me and roll her eyes. No response when I said thank you and just walked away while putting her airpods in her ear to avoid any further interactions with me.
Overall: 100% HP is a vegan haven for afternoon vegans in Puerto Rico as they have a lot of food that beats other options at that hour (burger king impossible meals) but the menu can benefit from being cut in half so they can focus more the quality of other meals. I feel very strongly about eating / being served food by individuals who have a disdain for you so I am unsure if I would visit 100% HP again on my will, especially if there are other options available.
Pros: Open when most vegan places are closed, Great burgers and milkshakes, Eccentric design for the restaurant space
Cons: Front of house staff! Extremely rude, Quantity over quality for the menu

Good food, super rude staff - Edit
Good food, but super rude staff. Went on a Friday night and was not busy at all and based on how we were treated not surprised at all.
Read moreEdit: I posted this before reading the other reviews: multiple reviews complain about the rudeness of the staff as well. We were very kind to everybody, always thanking them profusely, tipped 20%, didn’t complain or ever bother them while we waited. If you ask me to tip, then I ask for you to be a kind person to me as well.

Uber Eats Delivers - Edit
I don't have a rental car because I'm only here for a few days as a mini vacation treat to myself.
Read moreThe hotel I'm staying at has some vegan food, but it isn't exciting or Puerto Rican at all.
I looked on Uber Eats and saw that 100% HP was on there so I ordered a couple of things.
They were delicious! I got the La Mixta HP and that was so delicious. The mock meat had a good texture and flavor that was irresistible. I poured the beans over the rice because I didn't have a spoon (hopefully that isn't something offensive to do in PR culture 😬). And I really enjoyed that as well. I had never had PR food before and it's great exploring the culinary culture with traditional foods made vegan.
I also had the Relleno de papa. The outside was very crispy and the inside of the potato was very soft. The relleno de papa is really filling and the definition of comfort food.
I will definitely be eating here the rest of my trip, even if it's only through Uber Eats. I'd love to see the actual restaurant too.
Pros: Delivery option through Uber eats , Huge portions , Flavorful

Delicious oasis in a sea of meat - Edit
Had the rice stuffed avocado with tostones. Bet filling, very flavorful, and avoids the fake meat /cheese that can be so easy to fall back on. (I'm sure those are good too, though.)

Big menu, great taste! - Edit
In San Juan on holiday, we’ve been to 100% HP twice already and will likely return before our trip is over. They have tons of choices. Great vegan versions of local dishes, some burgers and things like that as well. Friendly staff, and nice ambience with some space dedicated to art.

impossible meat is unhealthy - Edit
the flavors are delicious hence the rating. However impossible meat (which is in almost every dish) is not a healthy food item. i recommend abbots chorizo or ground beef.

Our restaurant has a specific purpose. We Fool Carnivores. We believe Impossible is healthier than what carnivores eat. It is delicious and has been recently certified as safe in Europe which is pretty difficult as you know. Are menu is specifically designed for carnivores. Thanks for your comment we are very glad you loved our food. ❤️

But the reason to eat here isnt because we are wanting to eat healthy food. Vegans eat unhealthy vegan junk food sometimes because of sensory pleasure and most importantly, we are not exploiting sentient animals. You should go watch Dominion on YouTube. Cause it seems you are only eating a Plant-Based diet to be or feel healthier, but that isnt what being Vegan is about. Vegan is FOR THE ANIMALS (not health or environment) = The first-hand victims.

A great place to try veganized Puerto Rican food - Edit
A cool artistic space to enjoy some veganized Puerto Rican foods and burgers. Other than the rice and beans plate, the rest of the food is fried/fast food style. The food was really flavored well, especially the mock meat items.

Authentic PR Classics - Edit
Flying into Puerto Rico I wanted to eat three things I knew I could usually find near the beaches…alcapurrias, sorullitos, and pasteles! Downside is, none of them would be vegan. I’m so grateful to have found 100% HP and their wonderful take on Puerto Rican classics. The flavor truly made me feel like I wasn’t missing out on a single thing while on this trip. Additionally, my non-vegan bf claimed it was the best vegan food he has tried at a restaurant and I agree. This place is a must try for all people!
