your review is interesting but i often see these kind of comments "chatted in French" Its France they are probably French, Ignoring you is not good but ignoring you in French isn't worse. the service doesn't sound good and certainly by law they should display prices and asking you if you want to try something does sound like an offer of a taster, so pretty bad really i will take your advice and try cloud cakes, Happy travels.
