Your visit was during the COVID restrictions over a year ago. Given our intimate setting with only eight seats, it's plausible that you were the sole patrons dining at that time due to those restrictions. The decor, well again, we're not advertising as a Japanese Restaurant so we don't have Japanese style decor. It would have been helpful had you informed us of your concerns at the conclusion of your meal.
